I want to go on a cruise, but don't have a partner to share a cabin with. I would prefer to just go alone, but can't afford a double-rate for a single cabin. Other than "special" cruises for singles, are there cruise lines that offer a single for a single rate?

I am traveling from DC to Philly to Barcelona to Valencia for a total of 16hrs and 20 minutes. I will be living with a host family in Valencia for two weeks while attending a school for Spanish language. I've never been in an airport, never been out of the country and I am traveling alone. I am proficent in Spanish, but not confident. Can anyone tell me what to expect on the flight (or what to do during a 5 hr layover in Philly), airport procedures, what to expect in Valencia, any tips for traveling or conversing with the people I encounter? Anything really.

Are the illegals a problem in Sacramento? Are the wages low? What are the family oriented communities?

I've been looking for a week's holiday in Greece for the past couple of months, and I still don't have a clue where to go!

Everywhere has such conflicting reports. First I thought Skiathos would be nice, but then I heard it's rowdy and bland. Then I thought about Halkidiki, but apparently that's even busier. Now I'm thinking Crete, but there are so many different options!

What I'm looking for is somewhere not too tacky, not crowded, with some nice sandy beaches and a bit of history - I don't mind popping on a bus or walking to somewhere interesting.

I preferably don't want to worry about a long transfer from the airport to the area either - anything under an hour would be good.

I'm travelling with my boyfriend. We're both in our mid twenties. We're not a big fan of rowdy families or the clubbing generation. Just want something nice! HELP!

Also, if anyone could provide links so I know who to book with, that would be fantastic. Thanks.

While at my daughter-in laws mothers house She allowed our 2 year old grandson have a ciggarette and pretend to smoke it. She thought it was cute,I on the other hand was outraged. I told my son about it,but he said that he's asked her not to do that anymore.Apparently that didn't work. I didn't say anything because my son and daughter are seperated and I was visiting the other grandmothers house.I'm at a lost on what to do. Any suggestions?

My daughters class is flying to FL for senior trip & the Superintendent told them all to wear jeans for the flight. Is that a good idea with all the metal rivets, buttons & zippers? What would you suggest them to wear? Also are CD players & AA batteries OK?

I'm flying withing the US this afternoon and I'm wondering about the gel inserts in my sneakers. Are they going to make me remove them? They are the Dr. Scholl's ones.....you know "I'm gellin". They are difficult to insert and remove. I'm wondering if I should just do it at home or will they not care?

Are there different parking zones? Is it difficult to park a car there? Is it safe ? Are there any places that I do not have to pay to park a car? Please help me!!!

I would like to know if Houston has the Bible belt mentality. I don’t expect it to be socially progressive, but would like to know if it can be a dwelling place of an agnostic Jewish Russian immigrant. Also, is there a literary scene? Anything to do besides restaurants or bars? Is the weather less humid if living right by the water? Are people genuinely nice or pretentious/fake/insincere? Any incite would be helpful. Thanks!
