I have unfortunately never been to the NWT, but would love to go. I can't suggest anything from experience, but below are some links which should provide you with lots of information on things to do and see.

Enjoy your trip.

Hi: Can't help you with tourist attractions but I will advise you to take lots of clothing that can be layered i.e.shirt, vest, sweater, coat. This way you can put on or take off what you need to. Of course, blue jeans will probably take you most anywhere. Also, good walking shoes or boots.
Perhaps you could contact the tourist bureas for any cities in the NWT.
Good luck, and have a wonderful time. Canadians are wonderful people, I am one of them.

Give us some details. Even the NWT is a large territory. Are you going to the capital city of Yellowknife, or elsewhere, that you know of?

If you are going just to the Northwest Territories then you want to see polar bears and seal pups. Then see some native villages; do some fishing, and then head back home.

Go and see the Isaac Brock memorial in Queenston.
