I don't understand Australian Accent. I have an Aussie friend who I met last year and I've been talking to him a lot lately on phone but the thing is I don't understand the accent completely. I can catch some stuff but not everything. I feel bad when he's talking and I don't understand and I just have to reply with a SURE !! How can I understand the Aussie accent better? I'm kinda freaking out too cause I'll be working in Australia soon and I just hope I can work with the Aussies...

I want to live in the city but I don't mind having a roommate (or two). I would leave my car at home. I am single and have no pets. The reason I ask is because I am appying for jobs in NY and I don't know what salary I could live by on. For what I want to do a lot of jobs only want to pay $35,000. I don't know if I could survive on that in New York.

First the Don Imus case,because he called a team of girls hoes and he was fired people,said its because of hip hop music,pop and rock music called people hoes and bitches too.Now the Cho Seung case i go on youtube and there is some idiot pointin a finger at 50 cent,like hip hop is the worste force in the world
if life was always good hip hop would be always good because its a reflection but if u hold a teddy bear in your hand and look in a mirror u cant exspect to see a living cat.I get pissed reading stuff like that.Dont get me wrong i blame no music form because therefore i would have to blame all the violent videos games and movies which 95% of the world enjoys,including myself.i just think the media is trying to murder hip hop because it is where black men and women make somethin out of themselves,and some white ppl who understand the life also,I just want your opinions on this matter

I went through security and they took my 2 in. pen knife. The lady in front of me had 1 and 1/2 inch finger nails, 10 of them that were more dangerous that my tiny knife.Imagine the damage she could inflict with those claws.
Then at the ticket counter the gal looked at me wierd when I told her I wanted a plain plane ticket. Then she wanted to know how I wanted to fly. On the plane I told her, with a plain plane ticket. First Class she asked, No mam I am not mailing a letter, she shook her head and said Business ? No mam I going for pleasure I said. Oh you want to go by coach ? No, Mam I want to fly. So she indignantly sold me a plain plane ticket, like I asked for in the first place.
Next thing she says is do you want to check your baggage ? By this time I am upset and tell her the reason I am going to Omaha is to meet this chick I met on Yahoo Personals and the first thing she wanted was to check and make sure I didn't have any baggage. I finally made it to Omaha carrying my bag.
