BTW, is your nickname for the Incubus song Anna Molly? :) I saw them in concert a couple months ago, so great!! If it is your real name, great name because it reminds me of the song :)

UHAUL is a do it yourself way, which will be the cheapest way for you to move belongings from CA to TX. Honestly it is not a bad drive, just a couple days (because of the mountains in NM) to LA. When you do take the drive, and if it is during the summer, make sure you have an emergency kit in case you break down driving in the desert. I don't know how many times I have seen UHAULs and the like sitting in the desert when I have driven from LA to Phoenix.

I suggest you check out http://www.123movers.com/results.asp?z=78201&s=residential&stateTo=California
to see a list of potential moving companies that service Texas to California (I searched from San Antonio, not sure where you are located).

Uhaul probably is the cheapest. if you pay for someone like Mayflower, they charge more because they pack your stuff and drive it to the destination. the more you do yourself, the cheaper the price.
