Does anyone have any advice on social or cultural differences for meeting a Philippine woman in her own country? I have been talking to a woman via the internet and phone for 4 months and plan to visit her and prepare to marry, then return to the US. I know about all the scams and even had her investigated by Cinnamond Global which I recommend. She is an honest woman but I am still concerned about the Muslims in the Philippines and potential cultural differences that I should definitely know about? The background check report suggest to use caution due to Muslims but other than that said the country is relatively safe. I want to be sure. Any suggestions for a great trip will be appreciated!!

I'm 15 and next year I am going foreign exchange for my junior year. I Live in the US, and I am unsure as to where I want to go. I was thinking about Spain, Brazil, Chile, maybe Switzerland or Germany.I want to learn Spanish because it is so widely spoken here in California. My friend and I have booked a long weekend to Benidorm for her birthday in May 2007, am really looking forward to it however I suffer quite badly with my ears a lot, the doctor said I had a lot of air built up in my inner ear and it gets quite painful I ve tried pinching my nose and blowing but that just makes me dizzy and a bit panicky am worried there going to be terribly painful when flying if there bad when on the ground, does anyone have any sensible advice or know anything I can take to prevent it or ease it Thanks

I'm from Egypt, but have lived in Orange County, CA for nearly 3 years. I've been to NYC several times via transit. I've also been once to Fairfax and Arlington, VA; along with Northwestern Washingotn DC...Well...it always happens that when I ask an Egyptian (man or woman) who've went to USA about the best place there, they always answered Washington DC! They said that DC is better than Manhattan, Staten Island, Boston...etc

Well...they seem to agree with my taste too; as I've found myself sharing their taste. Only my father (who stated San Francisco then Boston as America's best) and an ambassador whom I knew (who lived in Cathederal, DC but stated Chicago as the best) disagreed.

My question is: What's your ranking of the DC Metropolitan among America's best places; I mean Northwestern DC, Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, Montgomery and Howard Counties? If these areas aren't the best...then what metropolitan areas are no.1? and why? Please answer clearly.

What is the value of the Ukrainan Hyrvna (or however you spell it) in the ukraine, i know that $500 dollars australian buys about 2000 UH, but is the inflation proportional, does say, a can of coke cost 8 hyrvna or something.
