depends on the length on your stride. i am 41 paces (normal walking steps. 5'11" male, 32" inseam) per 100 feet. That works out to 2,164.8 per mile. google maps has the distance (via highways where a pedestrian would not be permitted) at 605 miles. in this hypothetical, assuming there were no wasted steps, it would be 1,309,704 steps to make that trip.

Im not going to do the math for you, but if you find out the total distance from Miami to Agusta then take an average step of 30 inches and divide that by the milage it should give you the number your looking for. You will have to convert a 5280 ft mile into inches and divide that down into your average 30 inch step.
