The sex trade is in every country you can visit. It is after all the oldest profession. Go to Thailand, it is a nice country and you will enjoy yourself. Sadly most people only think about the sex trade when they think of Thailand but the country offers a whole lot more.
Being tempted and actually doing what you are tempted to do are two different things.
You need to talk to your girlfriend and ease her worries. I have been Thailand and I never went with a working girl. Plus it is not worth the risk. STD's such has HIV are a problem there among some of girls.
It is a shame, that for such a beautiful country people only think about the sex industry.

That is up to you. The women and the offers will come, if you want to pay. You need to understand that in the party areas it is part of Thailand life. Only you can control what you do.
Bangkok is a great party town and you can have fun with the girls and not take them back to your room. Many of the girls would dance, sing, kiss and flirt and if you give them some money at the end of the night for their entertainment and tell them no more after most will leave.
Just have fun there and use common sense and control.

Remind her that we have a sex trade in the US as well, and you haven't been tempted here. Unless she thinks you have a thing for Asians or kids, why would it be any different?
If your friends are going there for sex, she has good reason to worry and you might want to stay at home. Otherwise, tell her some of the reasons you are going. Tell her she can come if she buys a ticket.

Well, it would really depend on you.
What is your plan to go Thailand for? To sightsee and enjoy the culture? Or just to take a break.
THough I have to say, Thai girls who sell themselves are very forward and sometimes it's very hard to say no to a sexy girl who is willing to anything for your money.
If you are a principled man, no problem. Just keep in mind most of the time they are really just out for your money. And think about how many more men they have allowed into them....
If you come with the right intentions, you should be fine. Better still, bring her along...Thailand have plenty of romantic beaches.

if you dont have enough of a mind of your own to go to thailand without having sex then dont go anywhere. But if you DO ahve your own mind and self control, then go! Thailand is a beautiful place! It may help to have someone from there with you, its a very different culture and some slight normal thing you do may be a great offence to them.

Dont worry about that. Its no where near as bad as the rumours, in fact its hardly bad at all! Just keep out of that kind of areas and you'll be fine. Everywhere else is great! And everyone is so polite. Hope this helps :)

You will be tempted. She is right.
Stick with a massage if you are tempted, do not even think of intercourse, or even a BJ.
You are a long time dead.

It seems like your girlfriend is insecure and don't trust you. If you're true to your girlfriend you wouldn't do anything. Just think of HIV and AIDs in that country. It is a beautiful country, I think you should go and enjoy yourself...
