There are so many vendors out on the street now, you shouldn't have any trouble finding one in that area.

One of the biggest selections is right in front of the park/schoolyard on 1st Avenue and 68th Street. They have a whole block of trees and probably a better option than some of the smaller street operations.

You can definitely bargain with the tree vendors! But remember they are out there freezing all day and night, so I usually give a $10 tip for cutting a fresh end on the tree and putting it in the nylon netting. They will also deliver if you ask.

My dad bought an artifical tree a year or two ago and I really think this is the way to go. They look very nice today they make them quite realistic. They are also less of a fire hazard. I would maybe check Sams Club or Costco.
