I'm thinking of moving to Dallas/Fort Worth for work, and was looking for parts of the area that are affordable for young families and have a good slate of activities for kids. Anyone have any ideas?

I always thought it would be great to travel on cruises. Sounds so exciting. My gf and I both love travelling. I mentioned that we should go on a cruise sometime and she was like - "No people disappear from cruises a lot and thrown off the boat etc"...Is this true and should she be really worried?

from what this section is "supposed" to be? I have noticed someone saying that this is supposed to be a travel section, and our discussions doesn't conform. Which led me to think about the time I got reported for answering in Afrikaans...

Do you think this section should be used for our discussions (ie carry on the way we are), or should we post in the Political section if we want to whinge about our government, and post in the Entertainment section if we want to tell jokes?

I personally like using this section for all things South African, not only travel. Would we all get reported!?

I'm 22 and plan to travel round New Zealand for about 2-3 months this time next year (I'm hoping Sept til the end of Dec) but not sure where to start to find the best deals....and how much money I should save (obviously the more the better but I will be on a budget, no 5* hotels for me)

I want to stop off in Malaysia, and pop to Singapore for a week(ish) then spend most my time travelling round NZ (back packing and hostels) then another week or so in Sydney. Then back home to London in time for Christmas.....

Can anyone suggest a good travel company for flights and travel around New Zealand (I'm thinking coach or train as I can't drive and don't plan to inbetween now and then)

Also any general tips when travelling would be appriciated.

Thanks

I'm considering moving to the UK, probably London. I'm an American, though, and I will of course need to find a job, among other things. Are there any internet sites that provide job listings, and/or job placement for people wishing to relocate?

We have one full day & night in Paris and want to make the most of it. We've never been. Can you please share with us the following:

1) If you had one tourist thing to do, what would it be.
2)What's the best area to stay in for walking around and seeing the true Paris (whatever that may be!)
3)any good hotel recs? - under $500
4)any restaurant recs? - either really nice or low-key locals place.
5) What did you wish someone told you before visiting Paris.

Thanks for any feedback!

I came back from a trip to Europe and the transatlantic flight gave me a serious a serious headache. I was fine before boarding the plane, but after about an hour on the plane I got this incredible headache. I've flown shorter 3-4 hour flights before and haven't gotten such serious headaches. Was it b/c the seats weren't comfortable on neck and back? Was it the airplane noise? I got headaches flying there and back.
