As of now, I've been to 28 states. My vote goes to Utah. The well-maintained scenery includes deserts, mountains, and tons of geological formations. In second place, I would put Alabama due to its hilly rural scenery highlighted by the red clay in many areas.
The best state to live in is Florida, which is very beautiful in many areas.

Vermont! Especially in the fall! It has everything...attractions, antique shops, historical sites, the ben and jerry's factory, wonderful bed and breakfasts, and it is uber affordable, and the people are some of the nicest in the country. I recomend the Buck Hollow Inn, and deffinately stop by Burlington, VT and go into the Peace and Justice Center! yay!

I am from Canada, and in my travels my favorite American states are...in no particular order....West Virginia...very pretty....Colorado....Alaska...wow...Hawaii...pretty wanted to go there since I watched the Brady bunch. Also like Maine...Haven't seen them all though.

I thought Arizona was stunnigly beautiful with all its color and spooky, space-like rock formations, but I am a rock person, so I am fairly prejudiced.
