from what this section is "supposed" to be? I have noticed someone saying that this is supposed to be a travel section, and our discussions doesn't conform. Which led me to think about the time I got reported for answering in Afrikaans...
Do you think this section should be used for our discussions (ie carry on the way we are), or should we post in the Political section if we want to whinge about our government, and post in the Entertainment section if we want to tell jokes?
I personally like using this section for all things South African, not only travel. Would we all get reported!?

We should all keep to the community guidelines. That is a rule. But we South Africans are in a position where we can't get any useful information unless we use the SA category. I think that if South Africans had their own Yahoo Page, like the UK, South Korea and others it would be a different story. Then we would have a seperate page only for South Africa on Yahoo Answers.
That means we would have subcategories like South African Sports, South African Jokes and Riddles, South African Language, etc.
But we don't have a South African Yahoo Page nor a South African Yahoo Answers Page and are therefore "forced" to post all our questions within this one category in order to get answers from real people. Even if the way we've been doing things are a violation to the community guidelines, I think that the Yahoo Answers Team will be sympathetic to our situation and allow some leniency. We shouldn't let it get out of hand though. I have seen many users go really overboard in this regard. I have too in some cases not kept to the guidelines and apologize to any other SA users that may have been offended by some of my Q and A.
The issue on miscategorization was put into the community guidelines to prevent users from disguising certain questions that may be offensive to others. Like posting something to offend gays and lesbians and then putting it into the Language section where it may never be noticed, reported and subsequently removed. Meaning that the asker "got away with it". If placing your answer in a section where you think it may get more or better answers means that it is in fact in the correct category.

It's actually not any South Africans reporting us, but folks from other countries.
Occasionally I stumble upon Biltong questions in the foreign food, and Springbok questions in the Rugby section.
But these questions are so far flung I probably miss half of them.
I prefer it if their in the travel section, cause this is where all the Saffa's look. If you ask it anywhere else you only get stupid Americans and British folks giving nonsense answers.

I don`t mind which section you post your question as long as you are able to get a reply, that is the key isn`t it ? Sometimes it breaks up the monotony when a question is from a different category & keeps one on one`s toes?(U.K)
