We want to take our kids to see and play in snow for Christmas, but may need to wait until February before we can get away. Time constraints only allow us 4-5 days to work with, and we don't want to use it all travelling. We live in Louisiana. Any help is appreciated! Tell me of your trip, or maybe you live somewhere and know some secret places that are great. It doesn't have to be a tourist town. Thanks!

Hi.
How much money do I need to travel around Australia for one month?
Considering I might be living in a relative's place for maybe 3 days and the rest wandering around, living in budget hotels (with minimal belongings but not backpacking either)


Do suggest some great locations and cities to visit for experiencing their culture, language and scenery (Ayers Rock, Great Barrier Reef). I don't really care for those overrated commercialised touristy places (eg Gold Coast, Sea world etc)

Also, what is good advice for travelling within Australia by domestic flights to get cheapest fare and shortest distance?

A book/website recommendation on how to plan an Australian tour will be appreciated.

Hey, any Thai out there, pls help me with this question.
I will be in Bangkok during the next week. Hopefully I will land at the new airport of Bangkok, the so-called Suvarnabhumi Airport. Does any of you know how far is it from Bangkok downtown?
By the way, I will stay at the Grand Hotel at the address of 20 Ratchadapisek 18, Huay-Kwang, BKK 10310. what is the cheapest way to transfer from the airport to that hotel? Any bus route or express way???
