Travel - 16 September 2006

Does anyone know how to contact the postal service in El Salvador? I sent mail to two different people on two separate occasions almost a month ago and neither person has recieved anything. Normally it takes 2 wks for something to arrive, but now I'm thinking something is wrong. Anyone here from El Salvador know if something is going on with the postal service there? A strike or something? How can you try to track something you think is lost in another country?

i used to think places like india or the uae were safe but my friend went on a bussiness trip told and she told me there had to be security everywhere for them i'm guessing maybe there was some sort of terrorist threat. any way by safe i mean safe from terrorist or war and that sort dort of thing i don't mean safe as in medical terms.

Would like to get a biometric passport, although read in the telegraph today that the UKPS have a bunch of old style burgandy passports which they need to get rid of bacause they have too much stock. This is because people have stopped applying for new passports in the last month in anticipation of the new biometric one.

We are a family with many young ones. We homeschool for health reasons, but would like to explore private schools for the future. We would like to start attending church, but are their catholic churches out there? Is it diverse enough to raise bi-racial children? We like Castle Rock and Longmont so far. We have not lived anywhere but Southern California, any tips on car and house upkeep in snowy conditions? We love doing family things together, this seems like a great place for that....anyone with experience in Colorado living? Are house,car and health insurance less expensive for a reason?
