from Seattle to Vancouver and Victoria. When I say land, I mean not flying-ferries would be okay too, but I'd like to know about train service and how long it would take by train, by ferry, etc. More information the better.

There is a train that goes from Seattle to Vancouver. It's a very scenic ride up the coast. It takes about 3.5 hours.

Also, there is a passenger boat that goes from Seattle to Victoria called the Victoria Clipper. If you go on a weekday, you can usually get much more reasonable prices (and maybe even two-for-one tickets).

The other options to Victoria are from Port Angeles or Anacortes. There maybe one from Vancouver, but I'm not positive on that. Here's more info on the other two:
From Anacortes: http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries/schedules/current/index.cfm?route=ana-sid
From Port Angeles:

PS~ Be sure to bring your PASSPORT! They're required to board the trains & boats to Canada!!

Amtrak has one practice consistent with day between Seattle and Vancouver. The northbound leaves Seattle at 7:40 A.M. and arrives Vancouver at 11:35 A.M.; any incorrect way, the departure time from Vancouver is 6:00 P.M. and it arrives Seattle at 10:05 P.M. feels like the only-way fare on the practice is $37. Amtrak additionally looks to have 4 Seattle-to-Vancouver buses available consistent with day to complement the practice provider, and it feels like the only-way bus fare is $28. I doubt those are easily Amtrak-branded buses; quite, that is in all risk Greyhound or a matching provider and Amtrak's purely merchandising tickets. At any fee, understand that as a fashion to bypass the border, you will genuinely prefer a minimum of to have a image identity and a authorized reproduction of your start certificates, yet a passport would be a good better undertaking to have.
