$2.50 starting, and $0.40 for each additional 1/5 mile.
**Night surcharge of $.50 after 8:00 PM & before 6:00 AM
**Peak hour Weekday Surcharge of $1.00 Monday - Friday after 4:00 PM & before 8:00 PM
If you're travelling from the airport to Manhattan, there is a flat rate of $45 plus any toll fees. (not including tip)

I would advise any visitor to use the NY Public Transportation, mainly the subway - especially during rush hours. With street traffic and pedestrians who can't seem to tell the difference between "Walk" and "Do Not Walk," it's much faster to get from Point A to B. Not to mention, at $2 each ride, it's way cheaper.
