If you're talking about the upcoming t.v. series then Jericho is supposed to be in Kansas. In reality there is no Jericho Kansas. But a couple weeks ago Lawrence Kansas had Jericho day and they changed the name of the city to Jericho for that day.

Jericho is one of the most ancient human habitations. The most ancient human remains were found in it, some of which go back to 5000 years B.C. Others believe that these remains go back to 7000 years B.C. The most recent opinion on this subject is that they date back to 8000 years B.C.

Located six miles north of the Dead Sea and west of the Jordan River, all that is left today of the ancient city of Jericho is a 70-foot high mound that occupies 10 acres. The mild climate and abundant water around Jericho made it a perfect spot for a city. It’s also a strategic point on a route between Judah and the other side of the Jordan.

Yeah, its in Israel, but it lies in the west bank so its actually in Palestinian territory. I was there not too long ago. The oldest city in the world is there (well the ruins anyway) and the Zacheaus tree from the Bible.

Yes it is, and my boyfriend has even been there. It's also the oldest city in the world.
