Decent weather ideal for a family with a young child (4yrs).
Not to long a flight!
I think having decent weather would be a key issue and a decent hotel.

And changed his name to her x boyfriend who treated her horridly, ie he earnt twice as much as her, but insisted on her paying HALF of everything, leaving her in near poverty. Oh and he also cheated...
I cant stand him, but willing to give him 2nd chance, but just not on MY holiday where I want to spend time with people I feel comfortable with...

We are going to NYC for a vacation in a few weeks. My wife has been there before, but I haven't. (Well, the airport I have.) She keeps asking what I want to do while we are there. Short of what I have read in guidebooks/seen on TV, I realize that I really don't know that much about the place, besides the over-hyped "touristy" things. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do while there? Anything that's fun and/or not totally going to be packed with people would be appreciated!

We have visited many other cities in England, Oxford has beautiful buildings and gets a great many tourists, but the cleanliness of the city centre is disgraceful. Bins are always full, pavements strewn with litter, aproach roads to the city untidy and overgrown I wonder what the tourists think.
