Yes. It would be a lovely place to visit, and really now would be one of the safest times to fly. Security will be super tight after the threats, so there is very little chance of something bad happening. You may have to wait a little longer than normal, but at least you know you will be travelling safely.

Air Travel is even safer now, so I wouldn't hesistate to fly - except on September 11 (too tempting a date for terrorists - I would guess nothing would happen but I wouldn't want to tempt fate that day).
Just be sure to check all regulations concerning carry on luggage. I believe no check ins are allowed on British Airlines, and leaving from England, but that is likely to change soon.

This is a personal choice but I certainly would come over. We must show these maniacs that we will not be intimidated by them or they win. This is the best and safest time to get on an aircraft right now but be patient with security checks and arrive at your airport extra early. You come over and have a great time on a great city. The unsafe part of the trip will be the car ride to the airport. The death rate on the highway each year is probably over 30,000. We lost only about a tenth that on 9-11 and most of them were probably in the WTC. Terrorists tactics only work if we agree to be terrorized. Otherwise, in the grand scheme of things they can't do much to hurt us. Remember what FDR said: "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself".

As long has there are planes there are hijackers and explosions in planes.
Its actual now because some president need it for the election, and he needs scared people.
Whatever way you travel, leaving the house already is a risk.
Don't get paranoid..

This obviously is completely up to you, but I would bet that for the next few months or so, us-uk flight security will be at its highest all-time level. My opinion is, there's probably no safer time then now. Or 2 weeks in your case.

There are so many security checks in operation at the moment I'd say it was the safest time to fly anywhere.

Yes, you can't live your life in fear. The airlines are under really tough surveillance right now, it's probably the safest time to travel. Good luck!

Contact your airline for the security restrictions. Plus, I believe on flights departing from Heathrow, you cannot have ANY carry on baggage.
