Well, I don't have the chance to travel a lot, but I think every country has some specific features. Maybe the beaches, mountains or friendly people. If you travel some country, can you tell me your impression about that country.

In other words.. where do you like to go in the spring... the winter... the fall.... summer?

My answer for the fall would be the northeast coast. Summer- just a nice vacation indoors at home is nice. In the spring, the west coast is nice. In the winter, I like places like Chicago.

Well, just wondering because last April, We drove from Chicago to Las Vegas and we stopped by for gas at a gas station at Flagstaff, Arizona.....it was at 2AM and the temperature was 25 F and believe me it was very cold. So then we left Flagstaff and headed to Las Vegas which is about 5 hour drive.....when we got to Las Vegas it turned 85 F in the afternoon!!!!!!! so that's a 60 degree difference between te two cities...

Does anyone have any original ideas what to do in New York City. I'm looking for something different not the usual tourist things like the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Empiror State Building, Plays etc.I was thinking about the Tonight Show how to get tickets. Also where to eat low or moderate price. Also a hotel looking for something inexpensive but clean it's for 2 people. And what about Jekyll and Hides is it somewhere to go if you don't drink.

I have the opportunity to move to Italy for a year for grad school. I have been playing with the idea of moving there for the past year. I studied abroad there once already for 6 months and am dying to go back. I just ended a relationship that was holding me back from going. I have a great job that I would have to leave inorder to move. It would be 8 months out of my life, a year in Italy and a masters degree...I am hesistant because I would be leaving a lot behind. I am 24 years old and could have insurance through school and my parents. I would have to leave in a month. What do you think I should do? I really want to find myself....and this would be a life altering experience.

How much do you think it would be to stay at a hotel in manhattan for a day or 2, see a broadway play, eat and shop? I know it's expensive, but how expensive?

I am traveling to San Francisco for a few days and have always been fascinated with bike messengers/couriers. I want to know the best place to see them in action. Any help would be a start.

Why do people get in the train (i.e. monorail, LRT, etc) before the passengers can get out. I am not from Malaysia, just visiting here but i find it so rude.

Is it possible? What is required? Could, for instance, someone who has legally stayed in Japan for several years on a work permit, apply for permanent residency?

Oddly, I haven't heard too many stories of permanent residency in Japan. Perhaps that's only because I come from a relatively Japanophobic Chinese family that wants little to do with people who've settled in Japan. I, on the other hand, am rather interested in Japan and curious about the opportunities and life it might have to offer.

Those stories that I HAVE heard of settlement in Japan, usually involve marriage. Indeed, this is true of our two resident foreign-born Japanese on Yahoo Answers: Cyn and Yozora.

So, if someone would like to migrate *permanently* to Japan, is there any way to go about it ,short of seeking a Japanese boyfriend and coercing the poor chap into marriage? ( :-p at Cyn and Yozora, heeheehee ^_~)
