In other words.. where do you like to go in the spring... the winter... the fall.... summer?
My answer for the fall would be the northeast coast. Summer- just a nice vacation indoors at home is nice. In the spring, the west coast is nice. In the winter, I like places like Chicago.

Fall I go to New England, particularly Vermont.
Winter I go for a month or so to Florida but not Orlando.
Spring I enjoy seeing the west coast, particularly the REAL northern California.
Summer I stay home because it is Too Hot, Too crowded, Too expensive, and Too much to do at home

I only vacation in the winter and I just love Honolulu Hawaii for the weather,sights and the people

i'm quite a globe-trotter myself, so i guess there's always a time & place befitting. personally, there've been places travelled that have each been unique & enriching, and there's just so much goodness in being an alien in foreign land.
I rank the following as places i'd love to spend my life in:
1. northern provinces of Thailand
2. remote island resorts of Indonesia & Malaysia
3. nordic countries i.e.: Sweden, Denmark, Norway (for their pollution free scenic air)
