I am Australian and looking to have a white christmas for my children as it snows in the middle of the year here and not at christmas time.
Would NYC be a good choice for a christmas?

I already know about craig's list, I'm just looking for another source. I'm against using a broker because they charge between 12 and 20% of the annual rent, or atleast 1 months rent, Iand I don't see the point in paying these guys what amounts to about 500 dollars an hour to look through their listings to find an apartment for me.
