Not long enough !!! Sadly, only a mere 40 mts, but well worth it. Check out their website www.londoneye.com, mainly because it states the sunset times for the next couple of months (if they remember to update it, that is !). Time it right, and you can watch the daylight fading over London, and watch the lights come on !!

I've read multiple books on sight seeings in London, and they say that the London eye takes 30 minutes to make one full turn. The ride can be as long as you want....since you can get off whenever you want to.

Visit the Eye after dark and you will enjoy spectacular panoramic views of London with stunning buildings such as the Houses of Parliament, St Paul's Cathedral, Battersea Power Station and the Oxo Tower lit up. Alternatively, visit at sunset and see the skyline awash with vibrant colours and the city's lights come on during your 30 minute flight.
