Jobs in FL are easy to get with a good resume, and some experience. There are alot of openings during the months of March, Febuary, and alot in May since school ends the last week of May. Apartments here have a wide range. I'm absolutely sure you'll find one that is less expensive than 900 dollars. I'm absolutely sure. Houses are from the range of 110,000 to 1,000,000 dollars, or more in FL, but if you choose your cards right, and have a good realtor, you can find really nice houses around the price of 150,000 to 200,000 dollars. This is a good deal for families of 3. Car insurance on the other hand, I'm not to sure about, and your health insurance seems right on target or I would say more than enough in FL. I really do hope I've helped you. Info from a native Floridan. Best of luck!!!

It's cheaper than NJ. But then again, anything is cheaper than the tri-state area. I used to live on Long Island and hated it. I moved to Florida. I loved it. However, Florida is not all it is cracked up to be. Prices are getting more expensive. The groceries are about the same as anywhere else. Car insurance is the same as anywhere else. Health Insurance is the same as anywhere else. Apts. are cheaper than in Florida though. The sunshine is good for you. However, Florida is a right to work state. Some like that, some do not. The police are very southern too. I loved Florida as I learned a lot about life and God when I was down there. Parts of Florida are very southern(like Northern Florida). However, areas like Miami and Ft. Lauderdale have a northern crowd.

Do not let the threat of hurricanes scare you. There is bad weather in every state. Floridians are very well prepared for all types of hurricanes. As long as you do not live in a pre-fabricated house, you will be fine. All you need to do is take precautions.

If those prices bother you stay away from south florida; the prices are worse down there. You could probably get cheaper in north florida but not by much. small towns are cheaper than larger ones. don't forget that florida has no state income tax and the sales tax is low so that helps a bit.

if you want cheap and warm weather, check out texas.

It all depends what part of Florida youre planning to move to. You wont find affordable homes in Fort Lauderdale or Miami. The prices are through the roofs.

well there are probably some jobe available, just depends on what you're looking for. Housing probably sucks since it gets f'd up every year by endless hurricanes. Why would anyone want to move there?
