How do you guys feel about guns? I am from America and we love them over here (most of us do anyway). I just want to see how another part of the world feels about the same issue.

I want to get a basic 1911A1. I want it with wood grips and blued metal. I don't care about target barrels or match triggers or any of that stupid stuff. I am not a good enough shot to care that I get a 3 inch group at 50 yards instead of a 2 inch group. I just want the very basic one, no bells and whistles... just like one a GI would have carried. The only difference i would consider is caliber... do they come in .40 S&W without costing a lot more. .45ACP and .40 S&W are the only two rounds I would want one in. How does .40 compare to .45 in price? How much should I pay for the gun I want and who makes them well? Thanks in advance.

For all you who feel the need to try and make a comparison I'm sorry if this offends you but you meet the legal definition of IDIOT. You should immediately report to your physician for sterilization so that you a no longer a threat to the gene pool of humanity.

Please don't waste anyones time by trying to say there's no difference in teaching/forcing a dog to fight to the death and hunting.

Of course you can't just drop any cartridge into the chamber and pull the trigger.....
I'm not stupid.
You have to purchase an MCA Sports / Ace Bullet Company chamber adapter FIRST.

They train them on small dogs and cats to fight. Many times they steal them out of yards when people leave their pets out unattended all day. They end up as Pit Bull bait dogs. Also "free-to-good-home" animals can also end up for bait dogs. They'll tape the bait dog's mouth shut and just let the Pit kill them.

I have a Mossberg 590 it has the regular bead sight.I would like to buy Mossberg factory ghost ring sites.I have several gun part books including Midways master catalog.I cant find them anyware.I do not want aftermarket sights.The reason I didnt just buy the one with the sites is the one with the ghost ring sites wasn't parkerized I figured it would be easier to buy the ghost ring sites than having to get my weapon parkerized.
Does anyone here have ghost ring sites on a shot gun I just want to hear what you have to say about them.

Can I use a picture from a digital camera printed onto photo paper like you get at a digital picture printing station at walmart or wolf camera for my FOID? the reason i ask is they don't seem to be quite the same quality/consistancy of a normal photograph. Can i use it anyway?

This gun was given to me by someone who hates guns and knows nothing of the value....hehe

The weapon has been re-finished and does not have the original clip (I got a factory one). Otherwise, it has no other mod's and is in great condition.

What would be a fair open market price? Please remember it has been re-finished.....

And also what exactly is point-blank range. I have a vague idea of what it is but what does it actually mean?
