You might be able to get away doing it that way, or you might try one of those little picture booths at the mall. A picture is needed to prove your identity, but they actually use your drivers license picture, I guess its a test to keep you honest?

RE:
picture for FOID card...?
Can I use a picture from a digital camera printed onto photo paper like you get at a digital picture printing station at walmart or wolf camera for my FOID? the reason i ask is they don't seem to be quite the same quality/consistancy of a normal photograph. Can i use it anyway?

I don't see why not, They don't say that you can't use one. They just say that they want a certain size and if you can do that I think that you have done what they have asked for. I would try the very worst that can happen is they send you to get another photo from one of those machines, but I think that they will use that photo. I would make sure to print it out on photo paper.

Well, the onyl way to find out is send it in and see what happens. My pictures have always been with Polaroids and it still isnt the best picture on my card, so they will probly accept it.

You don't say what state you live in...
do the State FOID people have a website

Might save you some time.

Not shure about the regs for your area. Best advice is to go to a local ID/ Passport photo place and have them do it..
