Mount your string silencers about 8"-10" below the tips of your recurve bow limb (Measuring from your bowstring loop). Do not mount them near the nocking point as that will defeat the whole purpose

Have been an archery hunter for numerous years. An expert on the subject? Certainly not.

However in my experience, I like the silencers to be placed between the tip of the bow and the nocking point. Exact location is not that important. Just insure that when you draw the bow the locations do not impact your sighting..

I would say from the tips of your recurve, since that is where the string will hit upon release.
