This isn’t Star-Wars, and the force is not with you.

And brush shooting is not allowed.

(shooting where you think your target will be?)

That NUTS.
An Ethical Hunter does not shoot till he/she has identified their target.

That exactly how innocent people get shot in the woods.

Be fair warned, I fire back when fired up on.

Swing through, sustained lead and to a limited extent snap shooting. For the others it is obvious that he is talking about shotgun shooting for birds. In the swing through method you swing with the bird and then go past it and shoot. The bird will be there where you were aiming by the time the shot get there.
With the sustained lead, you will be shooting at the same spot but you don't start behind the bird, you just aim where you think the bird will be considering it's speed and keep you shotgun moving at the same speed the bird is flying
In the snap shooting method you just poke your shotgun out there where you think the bird will be in the time it takes the shot to get there and pull the trigger.
Of all the methods I use the swing through one the most. If I am in a blind where I can't swing very far then I got to the snap shooting method.

haha not to be rude but unless your shooting from 1/4 of a mile a sustained lead would not work i doubt you will be shooting from that far i would say sight alignment for stationary targets and for game like birds rabbits anything moving real fast you should use a swing through but it takes some practice

Are you talking of leading your target by swinging through the target? This is a phrase that is used regarding wing shooting and is intended to reinforce the fact that you should continue to move the muzzle of your shotgun as you pull the trigger rather than stopping the motion of the muzzle as you pull the trigger.

Both "swing through" and "sustained lead" are accepted methods of lead.

Shoot ahead of it. If you shoot and miss you risk a gut shot and will have a real mess on your hands. It isn't worth taking the risk unless it isn't going very fast.... in any case it is risky.
