Its called the Power of Suggestion or Brainwashing *. If you repeat a Falsehood over and over again people will start believing it even though there is not a shred of truth in what they are saying*. Some people call it the BIG LIE*..Pretty soon they will not be able to tell TRUTH from FICTION*...

First off I'm a avid hunter. Anything from small game, deer, bear, boar, birds, etc.

But I contemplated this question myself many times and in some ways do see their point. Hunting with a bird dog is one thing. The animal points or retrieves the bird.

But hound hunting can be a little different. Take a dog and let them locate a scent. Either by bringing them to a bait, track or just driving around till the dog picks up on a scent. Once the dog hits turning loose a pack of dogs on the animal. Now the fun starts the chase. It could be a quick one or it can last for hours. A pack of dogs chasing a animal through the woods, fields, rivers, etc. Some times the chase will stop for a while the animal fights for it's life. During these altercation dogs do get hurt or killed. A boars tusk can slice open a dog like a scalpel. A bear does a nice job on them too. I seen to many wounded dogs or patched up dogs in my life. Being a dog lover I had to get out of the sport. I don't knock the sport if that's what your into so be it. But after 15 years of hunting with hounds, going to trials I had enough.

I had to ask myself what was the difference if I brought my Pitbull into a ring to fight or turning loose my Walker or Redbone one on a animal. When all said done both activities can ended up with the same results, a dead or hurt dog.

My dogs are family members. To me it is not different turn one of them loose on a wild animal or lets say letting a 8 year old kid run after the animal. But that's just me.

Simple minded maybe... Or maybe somebody with a little compassion. Yes I hunt. But I strive for a clean quick kill. not tormenting animals by having them run for their lives in mortal fear. Not by turning a animal loose where there is great chance of getting hurt. Sure a bird dog can get hurt, but it has a lot less chance .

So what is the real difference between the too? Both dogs are trained or it comes by nature to them? Both can have the same results. Just because one is deemed legal doesn't make it right.

These people are trying to pull out anything to defend that sicko. It really makes me mad how people try to make a connection between hunting and dog fighting. Why don't they compare it to chicken fights.I also think it is funny how some people think this is about race. What just because a famous rich black man got in trouble does that make it a ratial issue. This whole thing makes me sick. And the messed up thing is that he pled guilty. That means he did it rite,So why are all these people defending him like if he was innocent.

Oh but the POOR deer are suffering! Those poor dogs suffered so we need to use this as ammo to PUNISH all those who disagree with us, so YOU EVIL HUNTERS AND GUN OWNERS will suffer now!

We braindonor libtards are running out of valid arguements fast, so we grasp at straws now! But we have the VAST media at our beck and call, they do our bidding! Our warped ideals will be spread to the entire free world by the FREE media we control! Just wait, you haven't seen the half of what we have planned for you EVIL GUN OWNERS AND HUNTERS, after we remove your RIGHT to bear arms, we will CENSOR you into oblivion, you see, we know the 2nd ammendment gives TEETH to all the other pesky ammendments, once we get rid of the teeth, the other ammendments are ripe for the picking, the next will be the 1st ammendment, YOUR freedom of expresion and free speach. Enjoy the koolaid, red is not a flavor.

I believe that most of them are uneducated, simple minded, adolescents that have no idea what is really going on in the world.

Yes, they are. And you can educate the ignorant, but you can't do anything about stupid, so just grit your teeth and go on. Those people are hopeless and not interested in your explanations, so there's no point in answering them.

I concur!

Maybe YA should create a forum for the simpleminded, boring, old questions.

If they did that, then most of mine would have to be re-routed....

Hey, then at least I would have my Top Contributor badge back!
