I heard someone on one of the news channels say that legal hunting of wild game is the same
as illigeal dog fighting.

What do you think?

I really worry about it making its way into the deer population where we hunt. I sure don't want to feed tainted meat to my family. We have had to worry about Mad Cow Disease in the commercially prepared beef supply, now we have to worry about wild meat, as well. Any input?

On youtube thier is a lot of videos of people killing bears, coyotes, wolfs, sharks it just wrong what do they do eat them they must taste nasty or do they do it for the fun also I saw a clip where a guy was shooting a lion thank god the lion did not get killed and almost kill that prick but why is this allowed they should fight the animal without any firearm and see who is the true winner.

About a year ago, I saw a segment of " Ripleys Believe it or Not " on TV & in this segment there was color film ( both old & new ) of this amazing handgun trick/sharpshooter who is apparently still demonstrating his quick draw, rapid fire & incredible accuracy today. I don't recall his name but I do recall that he was white, medium build, average height, dark hair, approx. 35-55 years old. Apparently he has been a famous trick/sharpshooter for many years & is still considered to be among the best Does anyone know any famous trick/ sharpshooters matching this description or the name of the trick/sharpshooter that I am referring to?? ?

I think it would be more fun and exciting to hunt like a bear or any animal with a spear or something like that instead of a gun. Is it legal?

I am curious which of these calibers has more muzzel velocity. I am buying a rifle with a slightly shoter barrel and am wondering which or these calibers to go for to get more distance out of my bullets. I understand its a complicated question as the rounds a pretty similar. The rifle I am planning on is a Mannlicher classic with the full stock, so any advice on which caliber to go for with this rifle is highly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

I am looking for a basic model 1911A1 with a parkerized finish. The Springfield GI model 1911A1 is out of my price range. The Rock Island Armory, which I heard about from another of my questions, has some similar 1911's for 300-350usd.
I have a few problems with the pistols I have seen so far, I want one with checkered grips and the "US" stamp on it, all of their grips are smooth. I don't mind spending a little extra to replace these grips but while considering this another issue came up. Rock Island 1911's are 6+1 instead of the original 7+1, I want the original 7 rounds and this means the 7+1 grips might not fit, right?
Also, I have called 4 gun stores they all carry Springfield 1911's (some are in stainless, which I don't want and some are on backorder) but I have not found a single Rock Island. I have searched the web endlessly and have not found a website for them either, where are they and why no website? Can I get a 7+1 RIA 1911 and replace the grips?

Out of curiosity I sat my rifle on the couch. After teasing and taunting it in everyway I could think of it still just sat there motionless.IF guns kill people then why didn't jump up and shoot me??Be real anti's...gun's don't kill pepole at all.it is a useless tool until put into the hands of an idiot.the same can be said of driving drunk, was it the cars fault or the drivers?if guns were unavailable people would just use something else..knife,rope ,rock, wooden stick, whatever is handy.mankind has been killing each other since the dawn of time,no law will ever change that.

Right now I am currently looking for a new lever action rifle with the magazine concealed within the stock, either with a box mag or a short tube mag. I would love for it to be a carbine but I would settle for a small rifle cartridge like a .243 as well. I was thinking of a Ruger 96/44M, a Savage 99 in .243, or a Winchester 88. Any comments on these guns or further suggestions would be great!
