Here's an idea, go post your whiney tree hugging liberal rhetoric where like minded braindonors such as yourself can sit around and hold hands while singing kumbaya.

Bears, wolves and other predators are dangerous, a nuisance and the fur is very high in value. You are right, they dont taste the best, but in oder to keep population under control, they need to kill some. Hardly anyone hunts animals just for fun and then leave it lay. If you understood hunting at all and how much of an advantage animals had over humans, you would want a gun. Most animals have teeth that do plenty of damage, and then some have claws, horns, or other defensive features like hooves that can do serious injury. they also have better smell, hearing and some have better eyesight. Not to mention, we are in their home territory, so now tell me, who has the advantage?
And nice way to put that DJ and D58!

You're going into the Army and will learn how to kill humans but you don't like it when others legally hunt game animals.
Hope when the time comes for you on the front line in the Army, you don't jump up and hug your enemy. You have obviously never tasted game animals or if you have, the cook wasn't very good. I think your age is part of the problem.
At 18, the world is viewed through rose colored glasses and idealism runs high. Much higher than common sense. I'd also suggest you stay out of the military since I have relatives in there and don't want you to " have their back"

First off, bears are not carnivores, they are omnivores, same as people, and bear meat is tasty. Coyotes and wolves are hunted to control the population, after all humans are more valuable.
Shark meat is also edible, although I haven't eaten any.
Lions are another story, altogether. They probably are not fit to eat, but population control is important in any case. If the media has anything to do with it, you will never see an event where the hunter went out, got his prey, and returned unscathed. You will see, however the idiots who went out ill-prepared and not realizing the dangers involved in hunting wild animals.

Hard to be sure, since I can't seem to think like them. But as far as I can tell, it must be arrogance. That is, they (for whatever reason) feel that humans have the right to live, but wolves and other carnivores do not. They often want to kill them merely because of something like "it killed my livestock." Well newsflash, people, humans kill more livestock than wolves. But for some reason it's okay when a human is going to eat it. Why?
And maybe it did that because it was hungry. Don't tell me you wouldn't steal food if you needed it to survive, and the person who had it wasn't going to die from losing it. In fact, many humans would take it whether or not it seriously affected the owner. But it's not okay for carnivores, for some reason.
Part of it has to be narrow-mindedness. The inability to think beyond what your mind is conditioned to think. The lack of will to probe beyond popular opinion and question knowledge that is shaky.
If wild animals are "vicious carnivores," then how much more so are humans (except for vegetarians and such)? I am not saying it's wrong to eat meat or anything. I'm just saying that we should reconsider viewing things as okay for us but wrong for an animal.
So in short, I absolutely agree!!!
-------
For those of you who feel that predators need to be "managed" in order to maintain the ecosystem, I will remind you that they were doing just fine if not better before humans started meddling.
Oh yeah, and if you don't want your livestock to be eaten, then put up a fence to keep them out.
And one last thing -- most people fail to realize that when humans do get attacked by bears/sharks etc., they are almost always doing something wrong. Wild animals are not vicious. Unlike humans, they don't just kill for the heck of it, especially if it endangers them (as with humans). If you are careful and follow the instructions to be safe from them that you can find anywhere on the internet, predators should not be a threat.
(Oh, and I do beleive that hunting is okay as long as it is not just to kill. If you are going to eat it then sure, I can appreciate that.)

Just so you know, that lion did get killed after about 8 shots. That last shot at the end of the video is what dropped him for good. If we do not hunt enough carnivore, there will not be any of the more popular non-dangerous game left.

maybe what you say was the tail end of a lion attack
maybe the lion started it or maybe the lion had been eating villagers from the village nearby and was a danger to the community.
as for bears, coyotes, and shark they are all legal to hunt/fish for.

coyote and wolves i can understand because i know someone who's little dog got eaten by a coyote. my grandparents had chickens and all the raccoons ate them. some people can argue that they eat dead stuff, but they also hunt animals. same thing with wolves. bear are game animals, so shut up cause you don't have all your info straight.

I am tired of people saying that hunters should have to kill a animal with their bare hands. God gave the prey unbeleivable sense of smell, wicked speed, and 10x the strength. A gun just levels the playing field.

You are insulting those of us that hunt legitimately and eat the game we manage obtain thru legal means.. If I were you I would concentrate and worry more about your "spelling" and weather the "Army" will test you for THC and drugs in your system since you seem to condone using Pot.
An activity in case you don't know is illegal, in THIS country.
