Out of curiosity I sat my rifle on the couch.After teasing and taunting it in everyway I could think of it still just sat there motionless.IF guns kill people then why didn't jump up and shoot me??Be real anti's...gun's don't kill pepole at all.it is a useless tool until put into the hands of an idiot.the same can be said of driving drunk,was it the cars fault or the drivers?if guns were unavailable people would just use something else..knife,rope ,rock,wooden stick,whatever is handy.mankind has been killing each other since the dawn of time,no law will ever change that.

How can you use logic to counter the ignorant factless anti-gun arguments!? You're supposed to be emotional and bleeding heart about it and make irrational claims!

Logic...gosh I mean whats next? Bringing up logical crime statistics that prove guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens reduce crime?!

And heaven forbid you should go further and cite that 2nd Amendment...what does it say again? Something about the RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED?

Yeah I think thats it. That's happens to be the one uneducated people think is irrelevant in today's society...yet the rest still apply? They have a word for that..I think its hypocrisy? The Amendments are the rule and should not be questioned and NEVER be called 'irrelevant'.

Very well put Boris. In the Middle Ages a pig was prosecuted for murdering a farmer. I suppose we could put guns on trial and cars used by drunk drivers. I suppose that a few years back when I arrested a drunk driver that killed a three-year-old I should have left the driver alone and instead arrested the mini-van he was driving. Or perhaps the eight empty beer cans on the floorboard next to the driver. The four unopened beer cans could have been charged as accessories. Makes perfect sense if you think like an anti-gun person!

I still maintain: GUNS GOOD! BAD PEOPLE BAD. GUNS KEEP BAD PEOPLE IN CHECK!

Speaking of non-firearm murder weapons, here are a few interesting ones.

1 - A woman dropped a 16 pound frozen turkey on her sleeping husband's head. In fact, she dropped it 14 times.

2 - An icicle was used to stab a person to death.

3 - Another person put a point on a piece of sausage, froze it and used it to stab a woman to death. The murder then thawed, cooked and ate the murder weapon.

4 - A crane operator lifting a sick elephant in a zoo, I think it was in Vienna or Belgrade, saw a former employer who had fired him. The former employer was sitting on a bench facing away from the elephant pen and the crane. The crane operator lifted the elephant, swung around and dropped it on his former employer.

5 - More than a few people have met their ends after a few good blows from a cast iron skillet, or rolling pin.

6 - Sadly, there have been quite a few instances of people intentionally infecting others with the AIDS virus.

Like you say, it is not the instrument, but the person wielding the instrument that commits murder. But gun grabbers and other Liberals, as well as many Fundamentalist Conservatives, are so foolish as to believe that they can legislate morality.

For most of the gun grabbers, they don't give a rat's furry little butt about saving lives. They want to control the people. It is much easier to control unarmed subjects than armed Free Men.

Any moron with half a brain realizes it is the loose nut behind the wheel that makes any machine object do what it does. A year or so ago a person got mad and drove a Cadillac down the sidewalk in Atlantic City and killed 27, or thereabouts, people. I don't notice any bunch of left wing liberals whining about outlawing cadillacs since they kill people? What is the difference between humans whining and puppie dogs whining? Its not guns that kill people, its high school drop outs that cant speak proper english, and live on the streets that kill people. the gun just aids them, and no matter how many laws they pass, they will get guns from trunks of cars that have been stolen. There isnt anything we can do about it. and if they take our guns away, then how will we protect ourselves or family members? Man people have no common sense.

As I have said before, guns don't kill people, it's the piece of hot lead that comes out of the end of the barrel. People are very misinformed when it comes to guns, so that is where all of the blame is placed. You could kill someone using a styrofoam cup, yet they aren't trying to ban those.

I agree, anything can be a killing device. People that use the guns kill motto are those city people that have never shot a gun recreational or hunting and are basically afraid of these devices. Ignorance is no excuse, everyone should have a firearm and know how to deal with it.

I say we trade all our guns for daisies and little yellow hats so the bad guys know who the dumbasses are that gave their guns to the U.N. I know I will never have a daisy and little yellow hat. Firearms are the tools of the people to make change and protect their rights. The libs only want them gone because they do not understand the error of their thinking.
