I believe dogfighting is wrong with No exceptions, as I believe
killing an animal and not eating it is wrong.
I am a hardcore hunter, but if I kill it, I will eat it.

Yes, hunters practice their shooting abilities so they can make a shot that will kill the animal as quickly as possible. That is a big reason why hunting and dog-fighting are different.
However, hunting and hunters are good for the land and the animals. If hunters didn't shoot deer, they would be over-populated and would have problems finding food. Also, hunters are the orignal conservationists. If all the natural habit is gone, then there would be no place to hunt. So of course we want to save forests and woods.
Apparently you also don't know about the economic impact hunting has on this country. It's huge. Tons and tons of jobs have been created because of hunting. Gun makers ammo makers, gun shops, blacksmiths, wildlife personnel... the list goes on and on.
Oh and are you a vegetarian? Do you ever eat beef? If not, what a hypocryte you are. Do you know how cows are often killed? My uncle used to be a butcher and he said they would walk up to a cow, stick a .22 up to it's head and pull the trigger. Hunting on the other hand at least gives the deer a chance to survive. The predator has to actually work to get the prey. That is how nature works--why would humans not be allowed to participate in completely natural processes?

If you don't control the animal population with hunting, diseases will. An almost instant kill of a wild animal is MUCH more humane than the same animal suffering for days, weeks, or months.
Oak Mountain State Park in AL is a prime example. The deer were starving to death. A mature buck that was supposed to weight 175 to 200lb actually weighed 120lbs. I hope you agree...if not, you should do some serious thinking. Also, in some areas around my town, the deer population has exploded. Guess what...so has the front end of many many automobiles as a result. (3000 lb car @ 60 mph hitting a 200 lb deer @ 0 mph is not pretty) Be careful yours could be next.....
Not to mention the fact that you would not be here if it weren't for your ancestors hunting game.
Why do we spay and neuter dogs and cats? To control the populations. How do you propose we do this with wild animals without hunting? I might post this as a question for you on here...I want to hear you answer, smart guy.

I never will understand why people like you come up with these ridiculous scenario's based on "what if's" that don't exist. Do you even have a clue what the human food chain is or consists of? Did they add Dogs to the list for human consumption while I wasn't looking? You talk of morality yet you obviously don't know what that is either by your foolish question..Morality Food Chain? What "Morality" food chain?
What you are clearly doing here is "baiting"...Looking for people to tell you that the tradition of Hunting is unwarranted and wasteful. I suggest you hold your breath till you turn blue and pass out.Maybe that would impress us more. You are showing a lack of intelligence, a total lack of common sense. And all based on your own fantasy take on whats really happening. You sir, are a piece of work. And don't by some streatch of YOUR imagination, think for a second that I am giving you a compliment

Who judges innocence? What are your qualifications? I grew up with gun in hand, but I never saw any dogfights. I have never seen any good reasons to say hunting is immoral. I reserve morality questions for my fellow humans. I suggest that you do the same. I am a free USA citizen, and I can hunt or do anything else I like, as long as i do not harm fellow humans who are not harming me. PeTA has ideas that can harm humans and cause the deaths of millions if anyone heeds such nonsense, e.g. banning all animal testing. Down with PeTA!!!!!

Vic is a punkass ***** and that's the problem with athletics in this country. They get chromosone deficient thugs and build up stadiums and fans around them like they actually contribute to some betterment of society. Athletes are fed the nonsense that they are part of some elite group and can do whatever they want and get special treatment in the process. Just look at the Bengals (aka "Bungles") roster of whose been arrested. Too much money, too much power, etc. This is the NFL's chance and let's hope the commissioner has some sense. Whatever happened to the Bradshaws, Montanas, or Moons? Get rid of the gangsta mentality and clean up football.

Yes, hunting is above dog fighting on the morality food chain, because hunting has been around forever, as a means of survival. Dog fighting is a form of entertainment for sick minded individuals, and hunting, for most, is a way of life. Go crawl back in your hole.

Why wouldnt you eat your kill? That would make you a senseless slaughterer of animals no better than the PETA people who got caught killing dogs and cats and throwing them in the dumpster.
My answer to your rather twisted version of a question is simply "Yes, it is".
Dogfighting is for animals that are no higher on the evolutionary foodchain than squid. And I dont mean the dogs.

Most hunters eat what they kill.... only a few rich guys hunt just to put a head on a wall. Most people hunt because they enjoy the adventure and can provide themselves and family with food at the same time.
