So what are you a vegetarian or something? Have you never eaten meat and enjoyed it? You think we should outlaw all forms of meat? Because if thats not what your saying you are doing nothing but blurting out hypocrtical BS. A cow farm is far more inhumane and delivers less healthy meat than bringing in your own meat. Do you not understand the concept that we have been hunting for 30,000 years and if we were to stop completely that would absolutely wreck the ecosystem? I suppose you think you love all creatures yet you kill bugs just because their not cute and cuddly. Hunting is a natural human activity, while being "politcally correct" and "tree hugging" has barely been around for 20 years. If you really cared about the ecosystem and the animals in it, including yourself, you would pick up a book learn something about it and maybe do some sort of conservation. And yes hunting is conservation. I bet you didn't know if it wasn't for hunters there would be no conservation laws. So why don't you just shutup get off your mothers lap stop eating dongs dongs and stop talking about topics you obviously have no knowledge of.

I think it is the fact that the animals were so cruelly treated with beatings and being shocked. People are supposed to have intelligence and with the bigger brain, you would hope they would accept responsibility for the superior place in the world we hold. That means you can't treat animals inhumanely and brutally just because you can. I think had he put the animals down with a lethal injection shot, there would have been less out cry. The focus was on the horrible treatment of the animals more than the actual act of dog fighting.

The dog is pretty much man's best friend. The deer is only an animal that people kill to eat or throw up on the wall as a trophy. Vick also has to see that dog fighting is against the law.

Yeah, I see your point.
I think the biggest thing is that the dogs are pitted against each-other and then killed if they lose. If a deer gets shot it is dead soon, wheras dog fights can last 20 minutes, be horribly painful for the dogs involved, and then the loser is killed right away; often by inhuman practices.
Also, the dogs that fight are trained in brutal atmospheres from the minute they are born; it is not a nice life.
THe bigger issue with Vick, howeer, is the gambling, transporting of dogs for gambling purposes across state lines, and other issues which are federal crimes.
Its not just the dog fighting. Heck, dog fighting is still legal in two states if I am not mistaken!

I cannot comperhend how people like you can compare dogfighting to hunting!!!!!!!!!!! Deer are killed for food and population control. Very rarely are they killed just to be killed and left to rot. Whoever leaves them to rot isnt a true hunter. Im pretty sure nobody in America Eats dog or that there is an overpopulation of dogs. Deer are killed humanly with one shot with no pain. they dont feel the pain becuase they are in shock and dont really know whats going on. Dogs are tortured and forced to fight and there is no possible way the "sport" of dogfighting is humane or even a sport.
Now i hope you see my point and how stupid your thoguhts were. Learn a little about what you are talking about before you post a stupid question agian.

Let me guess, your a vegetarian too........Where I come from vegetarians are that way because they are "piss poor hunters"......The people I know don't hunt 4 the heck of it, we hunt because we have to eat.......I don't know where you come from, but no matter what you eat you are "killing" something to sustain your own life ....Weather it be a plant, a fish, a deer, exc.it all is a living organism....But yet there is no other way that a"human" can survive so we as "humans" have to "kill" to have life....Weather you like it or not we "all" kill to live.....Do I agree with killing 4 no reason...Hell No!!!!!...What Vick did was unjustafiable and wrong, just like you comparing us "hunters" to him.But 4 you to come and judge those of us that DO HUNT with out even knowing the circumstances is just plain ignorant...........BEFORE YOU JUDGE OTHERS YOU MAY WANT TO LOOK AT YOUR SELF FIRST............

You are obviously NOT a pet owner. Dogs are a part of my family, and have been for nearly 40 years. Our dogs live with us, share our emotions, and are devoted companions.
Deer, moose, and other game usually do not spend time socializing with humans, and certainly not in a house with a family. There is a difference! However, that being said, I don't condone animal hunting either.
Vick's situation is absolutely cruel - and sickens me. When is the last time you saw someone deliberately drowning or electricuting a deer?

i have a license to hunt. the tax money i spend on the licenses, guns, ammo, and the rest of the hunting gear goes to education, conservation, and rehabilitation for all to enjoy the outdoors. because of hunters, the wild turkeys, elk, and buffalo are now getting back to a healthier population and better health than years ago. NOW you tell me how a person, who fights dogs- TOTALLY- against the law: bet money no taxes, the only reason to breed his dogs is to fight not to preserve the breed for posterity, no educational purposes on dog fighting, and how can you make such a comparison. what is the socially redeming value of dog fighting? read above for the reason to hunt.

OK, you have this all wrong. Dogs are supposed to be domesticated, deer are not, so therefore, it is like killing another human being. And, nor do I know anyone who kills deer for fun. I hunt ( as well as my whole family ) to keep the deer population in balance, as well to enjoy the delicious venison. You should not be in this category.
