Hunting - February 2007

I have a problem when I deer hunt. I go out into the woods and get into my blind or tree stand and get comfortable. After about an hour, I get bored and I fall asleep.

I made a product that has a wireless, battery operated motion detector that is fastened to a tree. It can be set up to 400 feet away. The detector senses any movement within 40 feet and send a signal back to a small receiver I keep in my shirt pocket. It is connected to a small ear bud makes a chirping sound when something sets off the motion detector.

I've just finished making it and haven't field tested it yet. I'm just seeing if there would be a market for something like this. I would sell the set for about $40 each with additional motion detectors going for $20 each.
Would you buy something like that? Also, does anyone know of any corporation that would buy an invention like that?
Thanks.

I load for a .22-250 using Hornady 50 grain Vmax bullets. Sometimes my two 'working' loads shoot into one hole. Sometimes they won't shoot into an inch with everything the same. How do I get more consistency out of them?

This is a rephrase of my last question which was obviously unclear. Hunting is legal in Texas, and you dont have to eat the meat. In California its legal, if a person sees a lion or any wild cat, its legal to shoot on site. Bigcatrescue.org, shows that nearly all 50 states in american legalize this practice. In the Middle East the governments collect a cat species called, Sand Cats, a little smaller than average house cats, and uses them for military target practice. To exclude the idea of this practice taking place is just ignorant, and obviously an uninformed person would reply with hostility. there are other forms of cruellty aswell, but that will be found on peoples own time.

Considering the Press Release from Remington Arms severing ties and links with Jim Zumbo because of what he wrote in his blog (see Remington link, http://www.remington.com/library/press/2007/2007-1.asp ) and the fact that Outdoor Life also suspended his blog (see Outdoor Life blog, http://outdoorlife.blogs.com/zumbo/ ) what exactly did he blog about that ticked off Remington, Outdoor Life, and any other sponsors?

What does everyone think of Mossberg Model 88 12 gauge (beginner deer hunter)? I haven't hunted before, but I have taken a hunters' safety course several years ago. Just a little hunting background of me.

I am looking for a source for quality 10-round magazines that will fit the new Ruger 580 Series Mini-14 ranch rifle. I would prefer blue steel or black thermo-plastic but will accept nickel or stainless steel if need be.
