im looking for a good .30 60 (7.62 x 63 mm) caliber rifle im not much of a hunter but im looking for a long range rifle to pratice and stuff with. i may get into hunting next years season. so i dont want some super expensive rifle but not some bottom of the line deal either. im thinking of the remington 7400 in .30 06 it seems like a good starter rifle that i can also transfer into my hunting. or should i spend the extra 200 bucks and get the winchester 30.06 springfield or any other .30 06 winchester rifle. would it matter come when i start hunting or will the 7400 be a good rifle to own? also if you know of any other good .30 06 rifles that would be good for my use and a price around $300-350 im open to suggestions. thanks

Or is strictly in the months of October & November? Do you have to have a hunting license in all areas if you are a non-resident? I'm oblivious to hunting sorry. This is actually a question for a friend.

If some one runs over a bunch of people with a car, are you going to want to take our cars next.
Remember guns don't kill people, If I did ever want to kill someone I would find a way, a car, a bomb, a stick whatever, a golf club. Do you really think taking guns away will make any difference? Look how many people are stabbed to death each year, or even each day for that matter. Knifes next, or cars

Has any one had a custom barrel put on their gun? Shillen, Hart, etc... Is it worth the money? I have a Rem. BDL Model 700 .270 win. I would like to be able to drive tacks at two hundred. If I have a new barrel put on I will probably re-chamber to a 7mag. What kind of groups can you get at 200 yards?

I thank you all who gave me answers on my first question. Sorry for not giving enough info but, it was my first time to try this and I didn't know exactly what to do. Now I know to give the most info right away. I am pretty familiar with guns, I have two rifles and one shotgun(not including the rifle in question), but this one does not seem to have the name ingraved anywhere. I only know that it is a .30/30 caliber with a nickle steel barrel & smokeless. It's a lever action and has a blind box for a magazine.

Doves DO make a meal, doves ARE overpopulated. They are fun to hunt, and banning it is just one step to stopping hunting altogether.

I have the "Baby Eagle" full size 9mm. I want to put some add on's. I've been to Magnum Research website and their stuff is ok... but I'm looking for more. Threaded barrel, ported barrel. Red dot sight, laser sights, extended clips, custom grips, etc. Anyone know of a place that works with the baby eagle? It seems everything is catered to the big nasty Desert Eagle, and hardly anything for the smaller but still important Baby Eagle. Let me know of anything you know of! Thanks yall!

A friend recently shot a wood duck, with a banded leg. He has tried to report it, at 1-800-327-BAND. They say it's not their band, and couldn't help. It says whitetail enterprises, and has a number 1-249-069-9951
