Hunting - October 2006

Are there one set of rules for the different shooting sports or are the rules set by individual clubs? Also, on the BB guns what type of gun are they supposed to use.

I am thinking of going to 150-grains for deer sized game (either Hornady SST, Remington Sciroccos or even Accutip, Winchester Supreme, or Federal Fusion)...they won't be as expensive

I have a Leupold 4.5X14 40mm VariX-III Tactical riflescope that I want to put a Butler Creek Flip-Open Obj. Scope Cap on, but don't know which one to get.
The product specs for the VX-III 4.5X14 40mm in the Leupold site says Objective Diameter (in): 2.0 and Obj. Lens Diameter: 1.6in / 40mm
The specs for the Butler Creek scope caps are size 15 which is 1.55 in. 39.6mm and size 30 which is 1.96 in. 49.8mm
Given those specs above, which one do I get? Size 15 or 30?

Ladies and gentlemen, this is in response to the harrassing comment from PETA and vegans that we, as hunters, receive. The only reason for them to read any of these questions is to harrass us. Coorperations, government, and the general public has been bullied by PETA and other animal rights activist for too long. I WILL NOT BE BULLIED! Stand up for something, or loose it all. Report harrassment!
I assure you that PETA and vegans are trying to shut down the "Hunting" section of Answers...and if we set back and let them, they will do it.

Vegans, PETA. I do not agree with your beliefs, but I respect them enough not to harrass you about them. You have no reason to be here except to harrass, insult, and push your beliefs on others. This is unacceptable. We, as a group, do more to help nature in a year than most of you do in your lifetime. And we do not tolerate terrorist, as PETA does. See ALF.

I need something that I can shoot my Frinds with. I want a pistol that is Air Powered. (aka: I can pump it once to shoot) that is not going to peirce the skin. I need it to hold at least ten BB's.
