The most accurate shooting gun is the one that is behind an accurate shooter who knows the weapon he is firing.

It is not the the muzzleloader as stated before. it is the shooter. I sometimes hunt deer with my .577 Caliber replica Enfield. I use to use for civil war reenacting. I do no more of that. So, I put it to use in the field.

It shoots like crap to be honest...about 6 inches high and 4 inches left at a 100yrds. Nothing I can really do about it. unless I start bending sights and such but I kinda like shooting that way every now and then. And at 100 yrds I can hit just about anything. Because I know the gun and how it shoots. where it shoots. what 100 grains vs 120 grains of powder causes and the effects..

etc etc.

There is no Magical out the box into the field weapon. We can right now each go purchase the same muzzleloader off the shelf and go shoot side by side and our shots will not be close. Just find a weapon you are comfortable with and go out and shoot it.

Thanks

Most Accurate Muzzleloader

The most accurate muzzleloaders are custom, hand built rifles that are used in bench rest type matches. As far as the off the shelf type guns, any of the reputable brands will likely outshoot the owner, but my personal preference would be Thompson/Center for thier consistent quality control.

I agree with just about everyone else's answers, but one of the most important factors in accuracy of a muzzleloader is keeping it clean.

any of the newer production models are about the same. It will have more to do with the shooter than the muzzle loader.
If you are wanting true accuracy then you need to step up to more modern day firearms.
hope that helps.
