Yeah, there are all kinds of them...although, to my knowledge, all of them are simply AK's with short barrels and rear pistol grip, with no buttstock. Here's a great link that has several...it will connect you straight to them...

If you take an AK clone and cut the barrel down it not a hand gun it is a class III firearm and you go to jail. The is A) The receiver has to be one that was made from day one for use on a handgun only and B) There can not be any way to attach a but stock. There is some more to it then that but that is enough that you now know that you can’t just make one.
Give Joeken Firearms aka JKF Inc. a call they stock a number of hand guns in 7.62x39.5.

Thompson Center Contender and Encore will both do it. The Encore is stronger and has a safer trigger/hammer action, but the Contender has a better trigger, nicer to use. There are also pistol versions of the AK-47 made by JoeKim and others.

Auto loader? There are a few built on a cut down rifle actions. In the same way Kel Tec makes their .223 Rem pistol.

Thompson/Center probably has a 7.62x39mm barrel for the Contender or the Encore. Check out their website, they have a link to a place that does custom barrels.

I'm sure some idiot has made one, I see they are trying to put he handgun tax on those rounds now.
Whoever did it should be shot by every SKS/Mak-90/AK-47 owner in the world.
