Is the powder literally corrosive to metals? And does cleaning need to be taken more seriously when firing these rounds?

I am wanting to get a pistol for home secuirty and also good for going hunting. Don't need one as strong as a 44 mag or anything. just something semi-auto, like maybe a .45 caliber. Good for home protection, and good for hunting game like say rabbit or something medium size.

What brand do you like? Which model is good? Why? is it reliable? Is the accuracy on it good, based on the length of the barrel or whatsoever may affect it.

do you have to have a decoy to turkey hunt with, beacause i have spent so much money on ground blinds and other things, and i am going in april, but i will not have enough money to get no more. I just wanted to know if no decoys would have a affect on hunting, and if you have any tips on where i need to go to find turkeys.

Is there any good sites you would recomend getting a M1 Bayonet w/ M7 scabbard, or a M5 Bayonet or a M5-1 Bayonet. On Cheaperthandirt.com I can get the M8A1 Sheath which is for only the M5 and M5-1 Bayonets. So where can I actually get the bayonets because my Dad and I just bought my M1 Garand today and Cheaper than dirt only sells the M14 and M1 Carbine Bayonets. And links will be greatly appreciated! And also I'm most likely will only get one bayonet but if you know where I can get all three that will be great. Then it will give me a choice from which ones I can and can't get. Lastly, I will either get a original (which I would perferr) or a replica.

This is the sheath I will get once I find the bayonet

I'm as pro-gun as they get, but I've often wondered what purpose this weapon serves. It seems too bulky to conceal well, and perhaps a bit too large and heavy to maneuver well in a close to medium quarter gunfight.
I'm not sure if it's a terribly good hunting arm, either.
Anyone care to "weigh in" on its practicality?
I can't emphasize enough that I'm not trying to say, "no one should own, use or carry one" but I suspect that it's more for show and certain types of target practice than it is for self-defense and hunting.

My Glock 23 does not seem to match pics of others I have looked at. On the front of the grip, located underneath the trigger at the height of the pinky finger, is some sort of factory "cut out" shaped in an almost half moon... Looking at the Glock website the Glock 32 is the only other model shown to have that. Problem is my gun is a .40 sw and the model 32 is .357......could my action and grip/trigger mech have been exchanged, or will the gun malfunction.

Friend of mine has a COP 38/357 4barrel pistol. Company logo on pistol says: COP Enterprise, Terrance,Ca. This pistol looks like an auto. Well balanced. 4 separate firing pins. Love to find one for myself. He stated it's strictly for back-up use. Was bought at a gun show. Satin finish. Thanks

'm wondering what would be a good addition to my collection. I'd like to pick up another rifle that my Dad can shoot on our next trip to Wyoming for Muley and Antelope. The last trip he took both his muley and antelope with his .308 carbine... That's really the only high power rifle that he has.

Here is what I have in the arsenal:

.243 Sakko
.308 Rem. Semi-Auto (carbine)
30-06 Rem. Semi-Auto
7mm Mag - Ruger

What caliber would be a nice addition to our pool of shooters? I'd like to add another bolt action and I'm thinking of possibly a 25-06 or .260 however I don't want to add a caliber that is too close to what we already have.

What would be a nice addition to fill a gap or address a need for big game???
