The record breaking ball will go to the Hall of Fame with an asterisk thanks to Marc Ecko because of Bond's steroid use. While Bond's has admitted that there is a possibility he has taken steroids, it isn't proven that he has, he hasn't failed a test, and it isn't proven that steroids affect play. Coordination and other factors fall into that too. Others have used steroids and aren't in the same talk as Bonds. Let's see Giambi hit it out of AT&T Park. Let the man have his glory. He worked hard and he accomplished a major feat. Even if he did steroids, he isn't the first to alter the game. There are pitchers in the hall of fame that threw illegal pitches and illegal ball damaging to aid to their wins. Hank Aaron has accepted the record and so has the commissioner. Let it go everyone. It will be broken by A-Rod anyways.

Barry Bonds broke the all time homerun record
STL and CHW each won world series

Mike Hampton has missed so much

When will he back?

Answer that.

Also, Star if this was interesting, and also

Apparently he's got one year left on his contract. Yahoo says Matt Kemp and a left handed prospect. I say throw in Kemp's good friend Jeff Kent.

Santana's WHIP is 1.09 for his CAREER. This is better/equivalent to Clemens, Maddux, Koufax and other first ballot HOFers.

Dodger Stadium is a pitcher's ball park. Get Santana.

I am a pretty big Yankee fan and I understand the Yankee-Red Sox rivalry, and I hate the Red Sox because of it. But other than that what are some legit reasons to hate them? Because they have the money to get players they want? Because they are the most winningest teams in Sports? I don't consider those good reasons. Explain please because it's ridiculous to hate them for those reasons.

Mark Ecko put an asterisk on Barry Bonds' 756th home run ball and donated it to the Hall of Fame.

What do you think about it? Do you agree with Mark Ecko and think he is a voice of the American public or do you think he is the dork of the public?

I personally think he is a huge dork and wasted his money, the ball, and Coopertown's time. If he thinks he's funny, he's not, he's stupid and should go back to designing camisoles.

With only league's 20 winner Josh Beckett will faces Angels' Lackey in Game 1 in Boston across to Tim Brown's preview. Both are from Texas as help the team to win the World Series in 2002 by Angels' Lackey and 2003 by Beckett on Marlins.

They will have very tough match in Boston as if Boston can going to ALCS by beat Angels.

Indians pitcher CC Sabathia will faces Yankees' number one pitcher Chein-Ming Wang in ALDS Game 1 in Cleveland. Both are 18 winner pitchers.

This across to Tim Brown as this is preview of the postseason for between Indians and Yankees (WC) and Angels and Red Sox.

Which pitcher will win the game 1 of ALDS?

What does everyone think about re-aligning the 16 National League teams to four divisions? Each division would have the same amount of teams and the wild card could be eliminated, taking only the four division winners to the playoffs. I've listed my idea for the divisions below. As far as I can see, all the classic rivalries are still there and a better Philly/Pitt rivalry is created. The only teams I had trouble pegging were Arizona and Colorado. Let me know what you think.

Natrional League:

East:
New York Mets
Philadelphia Phillies
Pittsburgh Pirates
Washington Nationals

North:
Chicago Cubs
Cincinnati Reds
Milwaukee Brewers
St. Louis Cardinals

South:
Atlanta Braves
Colorado Rockies
Florida Marlins
Houston Astros

West:
Arizona Diamondbacks
San Diego Padres
San Francisco Giants
Los Angeles Dodgers

How did ur fave team do in the regular seasonal baseball games...satisfied or unhappy with your fave teams performance?

Your thoughts on the baseball season, from A-Rod hitting the 500 HR's, to the issue of Barry Bonds, the ill health of George Steinbrenner and the next generation of baseball owners and issues (steroids, pitchers, coaching and or managerial changes, etc.).

Your analysis of the 2007 baseball season...

Now, that the baseball season is almost over and we go into the post season baseball, it would be fun to hear from the fans and not the nonsense from profesional sports-writers....

I did a little math and it looks like the Padres are screwed in the event of a tie. They are 8-10 against the Rockies and D'backs and 3-5 against Philadelphia. Pretty much, this means that they have to win the division or the wildcard outright to make it to the playoffs?

2007-09-26 08:27:31 · 6 answers · asked by Max S 2

All season long we adjust our expectations until we get to a post season that we didn't expect. Even then, we come away broken hearted.

Cats are like that. They ignore us, hide when we want some love or attention, and then when they get slightly hungry they're the lovingest pets ever. AND WE LET THEM GET BY WITH IT!!!

Baseball is like that. Every year, a heartbreak. Every time you like a player, he's a bust.

And still we come back. Every season. Why is that??

This mark basically marks him as guilty. It is suppose to be innocent until proven guilty. Even though the asterisk merely is a side note, isn't it still a brand of guilty?

And if he was guilty before, why is he still hitting homers without any enhancement drugs?

Now that it has been decided by the fans that Barroids ball will be branded with the *, do you think Ecko should require the HOF to display the ball with the * visible? The location of the * is being negotiated.

My 25th Birthday is Saturday and I've got great tickets to the game. I want to make a catchy sign so I can get on TV. But I'm stuck. It will depend on the next couple of games if I can write anything about the playoffs. My favorite player is J.J. Hardy. Can anyone give me suggestions? Thanks

I mean, take this year for example. The offense pretty much carried the team from being 12 games under .500 to getting back into the playoffs and challenging for the AL East. What if they had great pitching at teh same time over the last 7 years? Could we be talking 5 World Series wins in a row?

I've heard that Mr. Cuban wants to buy the Cubbies. What a GREAT idea! I think that MLB is dying a slow death and will be a much smaller league in 50 years because kids today don't appreciate its subtleties. For them, it's just too damnn slow.

But Mr. Cuban would pump MILLIONS into the team and bring an aliveness to stodgy baseball that it hasn't seen since Charley O. Finley and Branch Rickey.

I sure hope that MLB approves him.
