My favorite team, RED SOX, did good in the regular season clinching a playoff spot. The only thing i that aggravated me was their recent slide into the playoffs.
I think their were a lot of stories this baseball season, just not many good ones. All that was ever talked about until Bonds hit 756, was steriods in baseball. It is a shame how it overshadowed the good things happening in baseball. Also it is sad to see how in a season the greatest records in sports was broken, didn't end up be that great.

A lot of people are down about this year but i rate it as one of the best seasons in a long time. So much history has been made this season. Barry Bonds 756, A-Rod 500, Thome, Biggio 3000, Glavine 300, Rockies best team fielding percentage 98%, and many more... But the most exciting thing for me was the playoff races at the end. The Mets and Phillies came to an amazine ending down to the last game. The Yankees comeback for the second half. The Brewers fall off. The Rockies and Padres Tie-breaker. And the most exciting thing for me being a Dodgers fan was the N.L. West the whole year. Everyone in the N.L. West had an amazing season and it came down to the wire for 4 teams to win the division and wild card... I think this season was an intense and very exciting season to watch.

2007 - Good year, any year without strike is a good year.
Several feel-good stories:
- Craig Biggio (3000 hits, retiring as an Astro, still playing as hard as ever)
- Sammy Sosa (showing that you can come back, 600 is great number
- Joba (what a performance from the rookie.... 0.38 era!!!)
- Thomas, A-Rod, Thome (500 hr's)
- Ken Griffey Jr. (almost made the whole season healthy)
- Career wins (Glavine-300, Moose-250, Smoltz and Pettitte-200)
- Jake Peavy's Triple Crown
- A-Rod's tremendous season
- The Cubs playing well
Unfortunately, there is always bad to go along with the good.
- Barry Bonds breaking the record. (all the media hype was BS. even Pete Rose hasnt been treated as badly by the media and he was banned from the game. Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty?)
- Steroids in general (everyone needs to stop the whining, the fans are the ones who created the demand for the bomb, and now they want to berate the guys who gave it to them, and nothing they were doing was illegal by the statutes baseball had in place at the time)
- Remember when the worst thing that happened in baseball was someone spitting at an umpire???
- Late season collapses (Red Sox tried to give the East away and the Mets succeeded, where did the Brewers go?)
- Milton Bradley (mommy and daddy should have taken him over their knee when he was a kid.)
- Manny being Manny (one of the greatest players of this generation, and also one of the most selfish)
- The Hall of Fame voters (too many bad choices to comment on here, leaving Mark McGwire out was as unjust as letting Ozzie Smith in)
All in all it was a good year. The biggest problem in Baseball is the media. I guess those journalists have to justify their existence somehow, so putting more emphasis on stories without merit keeps the paychecks coming in and gives us something else to complain about.

This has been one great season overall. No matter what you think about Barry Bonds, the fact that someone passed Hammerin Hank is still amazing. A-Rod just added to the excitement with his 500 dingers. Obviously, the drugs have dampened the overall appearence of the league, but eventually this era will end. Some of the other notable events this year that contributed to this great season are:
To start, the bizarre start for the tribe in Milwaukee and the cancellation of the the Seattle series. This lead to only 77 real home games, easily the lowest in the majors.
The insane amount the Red Sox paid to just talk to Dice-K, who has done well but not quite as expected.
The awesome All-Star game in San Fransisco with the first inside the park homer. Also, Vlad's almost home run into the glove in right field.
The oh so close pennant races this year with the near perfect run by the Brewers.
Seattle late run that got so many people to believe in them, only to be let down.
New York's comeback
As far as my favorite team(Indians), I am extremely happy with their performance. With their first pennant sine '01, the Tribe will be looking for their first World Series Title since 1948. I think it would be great to play the Cubs. That would be a combined winless streak of 157 years! One team would finally be able to break their losing streak.
Overall, this has been one great season. Baseball was, is, and will always be the best sport ever!

It was a great season with so many great milestones. Biggio getting 3000 hits, Bonds home run record A-Rod destroying the ball, Frank Thomas getting 500 home runs, Sosa playing incredible baseball (for a 40 year old) and the Yankees making the playoffs after being down 16.5 games in mid May. Also the amazing rookies Joba Chamberlain, Clay Buchholz, and the return of Roger Clemens. Not to mention there are still many exciting races left in the National League. It was a great baseball season and the playoffs are going to top it all off.

Baseball is baseball and it is the same every year. I love the game and that will never change. My A's had a disappointing season filled with one injury after another but they kept playing their style of ball and that is what matters. They have young players and promising prospects that I can support and I know that my A's will build their team the right way, that is within the organization with mostly our homegrown players, not destroying the competitive balance of the league with ridiculous sized payrolls and overpaid has beens. We will go into next year with solid starting pitching with the emergence of Dan Haren and the consistency of Joe Blanton. We will have fine back of the rotation pitchers in Lenny DiNardo and Gaudin and if rich Harden can get through a season healthy next year we will have one of the top staffs in the game. This year has allowed us to develop a few more rookies and showed we have a plethora of young arms in the bullpen. I can not wait to see if these guys can develop into solid everyday players next year such as Travis Buck, Daric Barton, Jack Cust, and Kurt Suzuki. I know that Billy Beane will make a move this off season to shake things up and I expect to see a big trade with possibly Chavez and Kotsay leaving Oakland. I would love to see the A's make a move for an excellent #3 hitter that can hit .300 and get clutch hits. Overall I think this year has been good I have enjoyed watching some other teams come on the scene such as Milwaukee, Cleveland, Arizona, and Colorado. I hope they do well in the playoffs and will be satisfied when the Yankees go down in the playoffs.

As a met fan I am obviously disheartened beyond belief. However this was an amazing baseball season. The fact that going into the last weekend of the regular season nothing was locked up in the NL was amazing. We had the possibility (if Glavine could retire more than 1 batter) to have a 4 way tie after Sunday which would have been historical. Imagine Philly v mets on monday, loser plays either Colorado or San Diego (How would that have worked?).

Well I'm a giants fan, and from a baseball standings point of view, it has been awful season because were in last place. But we did have the All Star game, which showed that At&t Park is the BEST park in the game w/o a doubt. Bonds also is now the Hr champ and the greatest to ever play, despite what everyone says(I'll miss you barry) and we have matured a nice nucluei of a pitiching staff. Other than that it has been awful for the Black and orange...can't wait for it to end. Look out for the Indians this year. And its gonna be another one and done for the Yanks.

I'm always happy with the baseball season. Even in '68 when Yaz won the batting title with a .301 average. Now, that wasn't the BEST year, but. . .
2007 -- there have been better, but it rates highish with me. A lot of history, from Bonds to A-Rod to the Cubs maybe making it again.
Downers -- pitch counts, pitchers pitching very little compared to the past but not getting ERAs under .2 or anything. PEDs.
A lot of weird stuff -- like Ecko (+) and Bradley (-).
Overall: pretty good. Thomas and Thome and Biggio and the Rocket and Soriano and the Indians and the Brewers. I'll say "Ye, verily" when the vote comes.

I'm happy with everything.
Tho the White Sox didn't do anything i saw some good games at the Cell.
I'm kind of surprised by the D'backs being so good. I like it that the Phillies are making a run.
I think that the playoffs will be GR8 to watch.
I think that the Indians may be the team to watch the rest of the way even tho i do like the Angels chances. I believe it will be either of those that win the WS.
