What are your thoughts on todays Ang / Tex game?

Teams are stepping up thier game to be spoilers. Texas is kicking A$$ today. Tampa Bay's kicking it up a notch too. I expect to see the same with the Twins and KC... and other weaker teams facing the playoff teams.
But, even so - LAA is just getting SPANKED!
Anyone who's saying they have nothing to play for and home field advantage is no big deal in the playoffs is full of crap. home field is huge in the playoffs. i'm sure they'd rather play at home than in Boston, NY, or Cleveland with the fans at thier peak of rowdiness.
and LAA does NOT have the best record right now, Herbie - but they are in contention.

uh its almost the end of the season
Angels have sealed the division and have pretty much beat all the big time teams in the AL convincingly
I know the angels are getting their butt kicked right now...but so what? its pretty pointless. Vlad, Anderson, Figgins, etc didn't play the entire game
Rangers beat the B lineup of the angels thats all, no biggie

It's pretty meaningless. All the Angels have to play for is home field, but in baseball, home field doesn't mean as much as other sports.

Texas is absolutely whooping them I think they gave up on the whole "home field advantage" thing.
