I mean, take this year for example. The offense pretty much carried the team from being 12 games under .500 to getting back into the playoffs and challenging for the AL East. What if they had great pitching at teh same time over the last 7 years? Could we be talking 5 World Series wins in a row?

Why dont the ESPN Yankees just buy an entire pitching staff, how about the Indians. You are a cocky idoit. Cant wait untill we beat you guys in the playoffs.
GO TRIBE! yankees blow. By the way I dont care about the season series between the 2 teams.
Why dont you drool over 2, 18 game winners that are going to face your club in the playoffs.

Another what if question.

Why not concentrate on the future instead of dwelling on the past.

Face it. Teams change every year.

If the Yankees would just build a pitching staff and stick with it, instead of trying to buy the best free agent out there, they'd be much better off.
