Great question because even the baseball GM's don't get it. You can pay Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, Mark McGuire, Roger Clemens $150 million contracts..but no matter what you do..they will only be at bat 1 in every 4-5 times a game or pitch 1 in every 5 games. Wouldn't you rather pay 4 very good players $40 million each and get 16 good at bats per game rather than 4? Think about it..Sammy Sosa, Mark McGuire, Barry Bonds..their teams have gone nowhere despite their individual accomplishments. May get fans but doesn't create World Series teams as the Florida Marlins have proved.

Without a doubt, Matt Cain on the Giants.

7-16 this season, but had the lowest run support in the entire NL. Easily a 20 game winner.

On any other team, we'd be talking about him like he's Greg Maddux.

PLEASE dont forget D Train in Fla.. This guy would be the STUD number one starter in any club that could give him Run Support.... Lets not forget Eric Chavez... At the Hot corner He is very close to being the best Defensive 3rd baseman in the AL....We must not forget the PURE Hitter in Seattle...Ichero is a hitting Machine, who shows no sign of slowing down any time soon. The only thing good i have to say about the Giants is Matt Cain...I hope this guy GETS OUT... Of SF that is...

griffey in cinncinati.. i dunno their stats or anything but.. yeah
there are many others out there.
it's kinda sad in a way.. not to offend all those teams out there. cuz any time can beat you any time!!
i'm sure that those teams that are bad just need a few things to fix that's all
