I was wondering how one would compare the pitching in the Hank Aaron times compared to the pitching today. I'm writing an essay arguing for both athletes, but from a baseball fans perspective alive at the time.. which generation had the more dominant pitching?

Last night I watched the special on Mantle that HBO did. That guy could 200 feet further than steroid Bonds (one hit the top of the facade at Yankee stadium while still on the way up, and was estimated at 700 feet!). And he could run much faster than the pre-steroid Bonds! I loved watching a REAL baseball player! Your thoughts?

All these Bonds defenders know their guy is guilty, so they have changed strategies and have begun attacking and accusing pitchers of steroids. For a pitcher to get a Bonds-like boost from steroids, he would have to suddenly start throwing 150 mph! Your thoughts?

Whether Bonds took them or not I do not know, but I thought it was really tacky and a low blow by the media. The commercials were fine, I am talking about the timing. A person is supposed to be innocent until proven guilty and the media is going too far with this. I don't like Bonds myself, but after last nights media crap I was cheering for him.

They made a bid deal about how the crowd at Wrigley gave a standing ovation to Glavine as he left the mound.... only problem.... they did not. They went crazy because for the first time this year, Kerry Wood was running from the bullpen to take the mound. Don't these guys even watch the field?
