And how would you feel.

I'd be the happiest player besides Barry because it means a display in the Hall of Fame with a piece of baseball equipment and pictures, media interviews and more money from selling the story of "I gave up a history making HR"!

It also means being in all sports almanacs and the Guinness World Record book for 2008.

If I was a marginal or "basic" pitcher, all of that exposure will definitely raise my trade value up.

Well.. tough question.. If I was a journeyman pitcher.. I might not mind as much.. since my name would be an answer to an immortal baseball trivia question.. Aka Al Downing..

Denny McClain made it a point to surrender Mickey Mantle's 500th homer run.. he dilberatly pitched a couple of BP fast balls and had Bill Freehan tip off Mantle because McClain wanted to be associated with the 500th homer.. It got McClain a date with the commissioner, who, ironically died the day before rendering a judgement on McClain..

I guess if it was me and Bonds earned it off of me.. and I didn't lose the game.. I would survive.. and take solace in the fact I would be in every highlight from now until A-Rod passes Bonds..

Who knows, maybe if it's one of the young Nat's pitchers, he'd have a shot at giving up the homer to Both Bonds and Arod several years later..

I'd feel like any other pitcher--annoyed that I gave up a home run. But, since I'm a professional, I tell myself that I wasn't the first, I likely won't be the last, and go after the next batter.

After coming out of the game (whenever), sign my book deal and movie rights while walking up the tunnel from the dugout to the locker room.

Make sure Topps or Upper Deck is prepared to pay for my autographing 756 serial-numbered cards for the 2008 releases.

Send my cap to the Hall, but otherwise stash my uniform and equipment.

Hmm...well, in seeing his reaction and reading his lips, he was pretty po'd...then to add insult to injury, he was sent down after.

How would I feel? Well, I don't know if I personally would feel too awful bad. I mean think about...I could understand more being pissed if I was one of the big name pitchers that had been around...but some kid getting his break, this gets his name out there (although right now I can't recall his name, but somehow Drew Henson's name just popped into my head in regards to a question I answered earlier). Sucks for him though that he did get sent down.

Okay...disregard my answer - I thought you were talking about the one the other night...at least disregard the first part of my answer.

I would be pi$$tt that I gave up a run and go after the next batter. Hopefully I'll lead my team to a victory.

I'd pitch to the next batter and I'd feel just like I'd feel if I gave up a home run to anyone else... like crap.

I would just live with it & move on. Least i gave it my all. Better than being a coward & just purposely walk him like some people have vowed they would do.
