The commissioner serves the team owners and represents MLB. It is the owners that must decide if he is doing a good job and not you or me. At this point in time Selig is receiving very high marks from MLB owners and they believe he is doing a great job. Who are we to say otherwise?

Bud Selig is a lazy no good retard. He sits in the stands with his hands in his pocket, yawning while Barry Bonds rounds the bases after hitting 755, and cares more about the Brewers than all of the other baseball teams in MLB.
His flub when tying the AS game a few years ago should have had his pink slip waiting for him the next day. He's worthless to baseball and should be demoted to selling peanuts at Miller Park.
Selig is a moron anyways because he banned HGH and steroids too late. By then, Barry, Rafael, Mark and Sammy took those drugs "legally" and without any penalty. Only thing is that they're guilty in the court of public opinion because they don't know jack about proof. Prescription drugs are legal to take, and Bud sat on his hands on that one too..... Now his hands are tied because he can't penalize them.....

i do think he should be fired, although we cant do anything about it, i belive only the owners can decide whether or not hes doing a good job. i think Bud Selig shoulve handled the steriod problem in a much better way, TWO YEARS AGO. If he had just cleared up if the people were on steriods or not, we wouldnt be sitting here confused whether bonds is juiced now. if the commissioner had done a good job in the first place he wouldnt have to go to these games.

I think Selig needs to resign or be fired. Mainly over the whole steriod era, but that is just the beginning.
As it has been said on here. He needs to either come out and say Bonds has not tested positive, this is America, he is innocent until he is proven guilty (my personal opinion is he is guilty - but that is me). Or he needs to take a stand and say, I believe Bonds cheated the game, I will not support him.
This has just been a witch hunt by Selig against Barry. He needs to man up and admit that this is not a Barry Bonds problem, but a baseball problem. Baseball allowed its players to take steriods, and they new what was going on, and they did not thing about it. They just smiled and kept dogging it to the average fan.
Someone else mentioned that the owners are happy. I don't think they are. Yes the big market teams are, they have money and lots of it. They can develop there own young players and then take the best young players from low market teams, when they can't afford to pay them. Everyone is going to point to the brewers as a great low market success. They have 5 or 6 years to win it all, before that team is broken up. They will not be able to afford Fielder, hardy, Braun, Weeks (if he gets his act in gear), Sheets, etc, once they all hit arbitration/FA. Look at the Royals for example. How many of there players litter other teams beause they could not afford them after a while. Look at the Twins. They haven't looked up Santana yet, and unless he gives them a discount, consider him gone. The Marlins win a WS and then break up the team because they can't afford to keep the team together. You think the owners are happy that players salaries are out of controll, yes it is partly their fault. You really think all the owners are happy.
Selig needs to take a stance, and stop hiding behind Congress, and stop getting beating to pieces in negociations by the players union.
What about the fans perspective? You think I like the fact that if I want to take my family to the game, I should be prepared to pay $200+, once it is all said and done. Can I say one more thing.....
MARKET BLACKOUTS

WHile he has made some horrible decisions he has not done anything to make the owners decide he has to go. The public may not like him but his bosses LOVE him, they are now making a killing and when they make money the Commissioner is great.

In my opinion they really do need to fire him. I think he has handled the Bonds situation horribly and with all the steroid allegations that have come to light under him I think it is time he was relieved of his duties.
Selig is, in my opinion, a wuss. He either needs to come out and say that Bonds has never tested positive for steroids so until it can be proven that Bonds has never taken them, he will support Bonds. He needs to be their to watch Bonds hit his next homerun to pass Aaron and he needs to show public support. If he can't do that he needs to publically say that he thinks Bonds has not gotten to Aaron's record cleanly and therefore he can't possibly support what Bonds is doing and he needs be anywhere but where Bonds is playing. Selig can't do any more of this crap where he shows up and watches Bonds play, but then doesn't speak to Bonds at all after hitting the record-tieing homerun.

Uh.. The majority of the American public agree with and cant stand Bonds.
By the way, Baseball is as popular as ever. Attendence is great and confidence is high.

You're retarded. I love Selig now cuz of the stand he's taking against roids.
Anyone who honestly thinks Bonds did not take Steroids is completely stupid and should not be allowed to talk about baseball.
