Cano is very young and he's a very efficient hitter. He needs to improve on hitting outside pitches and curve balls. Cano gets a hit 90% of the time when he hits an inside fastball. On fielding, Cano needs to learn to go for the simple play instead of trying to do a Sports Center Top 10 play. Overall, Cano is doing great and he will be a Yankee legend someday.

the kid has it man. what is he 22 23. if he plays like he has the last month or so he will be one of the games best. i know he can cuz he did it last year. this is only his second FULL season in the pros. he needs to learn and lay off some pitches, which will come with experience and he does need to just go an make the easy out. he will improve and probably be an all star almost every year. he will be wearing the yankee pinstripes for a long time to come.

i think of of he's the terrific 2d basemen that has pop out of the Dominican republic, and additionally he's the terrific 2d basemen indoors the sport appropriate now and with the aid of using the time he's Utley's age he may be previous Utley's factor, many think of of Cano gets greater effective and heavier yet he's very decrease back residing domicile working annoying on his cardio to stay greater wholesome and quite getting slimmer yet greater ripped for next season. so as that being suggested he's the terrific now and for the subsequent 3 years F.Y.I. PEDROIA has a vulnerable arm, he cant hit as annoying, container as suitable and make a contribution as much as cano to a team, i recommend he's the terrific appropriate now and you cant argue with the experts, the numbers are there.

The first thing I would improve would be his defense. He has to make less errors and be smoother defensively. As for hitting, he's a very solid hitter, especially for a second basemen, and he won't change too much. He should be around .300 average every year with 10-20 homeruns and a few steals. He doesn't have the greatest speed, and he isn't a major homerun threat, and I wouldn't want to try to improve his power and sacrifice his average. I think the year he hit .342 was a career year for him in terms of offensive production, or at least batting average.

He needs to be more consistent. He has had great 2nd half seasons the past 2 years. If he could be like that the entire year then you could label him "great". He is only 24 don't forget. He needs to improve on his defense as well, he still trys to make the hard play look easy and it ends up killing us. He will be a great Yankee in time if he doesn't let the money goto his head.

He needs to take more walks and swing at less balls. He would bat .350 every year if he were to walk say 75 times and have more plate disipline. Like others said, he needs to improve his D. For some reason he comes off as too laid back and a little cocky as well. I have a feeling once he gets his payday, that cockyness is going to bother me more.

He just needs to be consistent like he was last year. He has been erratic this year in the field and at the bat. he's coming on like gangbusters now and hopefully it'll last into the postseason. He's already on his way to being great.
