Quite well, actually. Bit of a surprise there, considering it was a Seligula initiative, but even blind pigs find the occasional truffle.
Each league has three divisions. The wildcard berth, per league, is awarded to the second-place team with the best record. If necessary, a tiebreaker game will be played (NL, 1998, 1999). The wildcard team is seeded #4 regardless of record. The Division Series will match up the wildcard against the #1 seed (best record) UNLESS they are from the same division; in that case, the wildcard will play the #2 seed.
The wildcard team never has original homefield advantage in the Division Series or League Championship Series. Seedings do not matter in the World Series as homefield is predetermined.

The team from each division with the best record (three divisions in both the NL and AL)make the playoffs. Then out of all the teams that are left in the each league, the team with the best record wins the wildcard. So there are 4 teams from each league in the playoffs. So at the most only 2 teams from a division can make the playoffs.

One team from each league (AL and NL). This is the team who had the best record after removing the first place team from each division. Therefore in the playoffs you have the 3 first place teams and one wildcard team. The wildcard team always faces the team from their league with the best record that is not from the same division.

There are three division winners and the best team that has not won their division is the wild card. There is a catch in the seedings though. Usually it goes #1 vs. #4 and #2 vs.#3, but if the wild card team is in the same division as the #1 team, than it goes #1 vs. #3 and #2 vs. #4

There's three divisions (West, Central, East) in each the American League (AL) and National League (NL). The team with the best record from each division will go to the playoffs. Then, the next best team (that didn't win the division they are in) from each the Al and NL will go to the playoffs making a total of 8 teams in the playoffs.

Very simple. There are 3 division winners from each league. The team with the next best record is the wild card, so basically the team with the 4th best record.

the wild card team is best second place team in each league. one team per league has the wild card. for example, the tigers had the best record out of the second place teams in the AL so they have the wild card lead. however, if the yankees win and the tigers lose, then the yankees have the best record out of the secod place teams and hold the wild card. this one extra team advances to the playoffs and will face the team in their league with the best record unless the two teams are in the same division.

Three division winners in each league make the playoffs. The fourth spot in each league goes to the non-division winner with the best record.

The Divisional winners from each side (National and Maerican, East/West/Central) plus the next best record in the league. Only one team is guaranteed to make it out of each division.
