There are two men, in regular clothes, that run up to Hank Aaron at second base and continue running around the bases with him to celebrate his record-breaking 715th home run. Who are they?

there is all this talk going around in the papers and everything and it's starting to freak me out. Jorge Posada is at the last year in his contract as is Mo Rivera. Posada is like 36 right? do you think that they will resign him? and what about Mo? they both came up in the yankee farm system and are great players whove helped our team since like what 96. i think that they deserve to end their careers in pinstripes. then theres this whole arod thing going around. i just started to really like him. do you htink hes really going to leave? if mo, posada and arod leave we are going to have some big problems to deal with. we'll not only need a full time first baseman but also a third baseman, catcher and closer. not to mention the fact that our bull pen is allready a mess. im starting to freak out. any one have a little reassurance?

I hear a lot of people complain that baseball games are too long. So what?... Most baseball games are played within 3 hours, assuming it doesn't go into extra innings. NFL games take 3 hours as well, and about half of that is advertising.

Baseball is a beautiful sport for one reason. No time limit. You're playing against the other team.... not a stupid time clock. Think about it. There are absolutey no "time-wasting" plays in baseball... because there's no time limit. Nothing is worse than watching 3 kneel downs to end an nfl game. Or watching a player dribble a basketball for 20 seconds without moving.

Now basketball is a game that takes too long. A foul on every play, a timeout between most free throws, not to mention each team gets like 10 timeouts.

Baseball is supposed to take a long time to play. Otherwise they would implement a time limit. But again.. thats the beauty of the game... they dont have to play against a clock.

I have been to many Pro ball parks and find Clevelands Jacobs Field as one of the best. I attended the last All-Star game in Cleveland and it was electric.
The City it self has really come along way.

The Cards decided to give Kip another chance at starting tonight against the Phillies. Wells f*cked that up by only going 1 inning and giving up 6 runs (4 earned). Wells has been pretty good in the bullpen the last few weeks. My question is: If Wells does well in the bullpen, should the Cards keep him as a reliever, or should they get rid of him as soon as possible???

We all know the Red Sox and Yankees are the #1 rivalry, but what would the second greatest and most storied rivalry of all time in baseball be? I think I know, but I'm a fan of one of the teams involved and I want to make sure I'm not just being a homer.

Post what you think the second greatest rivalry is, and why. It has to be a current rivalry, or one that has a chance of coming back in the near future if its currently cooling off, but no historic rivalries from the 20s-30s or anything.

It also has to be a rivalry between actual teams, not one that's more fan vs fan, like North Siders vs South Siders in Chicago, unless you want to argue the Cubs and White Sox themselves have a lot of history....I dont know, that why I ask :)
